  1. goal

GOAL - Everton 2-2 West Hampublished at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Diafra Sakho

Would you believe it! West Ham are level! Dimitri Payet's cross is met by substitute Diafra Sakho, who angles his header into the net. What a comeback!

A penny for Romelu Lukaku's thoughts? His penalty miss is now looking very costly.

  2. RED CARD (Fonte)published at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Southampton 0-0 Sunderland

Ronald Koeman has cast aside his blanket now because Southampton are down to 10 men.

Last man Jose Fonte wrestles Fabio Borini to the ground and the referee marches over to brandish the red card.

The foul is 25 yards from goal and Patrick van Aanholt whistles the free-kick around the wall, but Fraser Forster saves.

  5. 'Poor' from Newcastlepublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Newcastle 0-2 Bournemouth

    Garth Crooks
Former Spurs striker on Final Score

"It does not look like the players are behind McClaren. It's a poor performance from Newcastle.

"But if you do replace him, at this stage of the season, who do you bring in in his place? It's a big call!"

  6. Championship round uppublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

Brighton are being held 0-0 by Preston, but Leeds have extended their lead over lowly Bolton to 2-0.

Derby are also 2-0 ahead over Huddersfield, but Sheffield Wednesday still trail Rotherham 0-1 at home.

  7. Postpublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Southampton 0-0 Sunderland

While Sam Allardyce is sat waving his arms about on the edge of his technical area, Ronald Koeman is in his seat with a blanket over his legs. I'm half expecting one of his coaches to turn up with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

The hail storm is over, but it is chucking it down with rain now. The conditions are making it difficult for either side to create much of note.

  8. Postpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Newcastle 0-2 Bournemouth

Fabricio Coloccini sits in one of the Newcastle directors boxes, legs crossed, staring into his phone. Even he can't watch this. Or maybe he is clocking in to check the other scores, desperately hoping for good news.

  9. Postpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Chelsea 1-0 Stoke

Chelsea are still on that hunt for a second as Willian curls a free-kick just wide of the far post.

Stoke respond by boosting their attacking options with Bojan on for Glenn Whelan.

  10. A thing of beautypublished at 73 mins

    Man City 4-0 Aston Villa

Here's Sergio Aguero's second goal, a thing of beauty as far as team moves go, and it might make up for that penalty miss. Perhaps.

Villa and Manchester City fans, send us your thoughts via Twitter using #bbcfootball

Paul Moore: an City mean business now ... just saw Yaya rev his engine, smoke billowing from his tyres and break out into a leisurely trot

Matt Andrews: at least put up a fight villa. on no, wait, you gave up fighting months ago

Paul: i almost feel sorry for Villa. almost.

  12. Postpublished at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Everton 2-0 West Ham

Romelu Lukaku is away. He has just Adrian to beat. He fails as the keeper saves well with his boot. It remains 10-man Everton 2-0 11-man West Ham.

  13. Postpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Swansea 1-0 Norwich

Gylfi Sigurdsson now has eight goals for the season. I wonder what new Fifa president Gianni Infantino, who is at the game, made of that?

  14. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Man City 4-0 Aston Villa

...Sergio Aguero smacks his spot-kick against the post. Just the four goals it is then for now.

  15. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Everton 2-0 West Ham

Romelu Lukaku's spot kick is pushed away by Adrian. West Ham are still in this game. Just.

  16. PENALTY TO MAN CITYpublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Man City 4-0 Aston Villa

Kelechi Iheanacho is tripped inside the area. Can Manchester City make it five? Up steps Sergio Aguero...

  17. goal

GOAL - Newcastle 0-2 Bournemouthpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Josh King

The boos are deafening. Lewis Grabban and Matt Ritchie combine, before the latter feeds Josh King who smashes the ball home into the roof of the net. Many were saying this was a must-win for Newcastle. Well, it is very unlikely to happen now. Steve McClaren cuts a very forlorn figure down on the touchline.

  18. PENALTYpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Everton 2-0 West Ham

Muhamed Besic is tripped by Alex Song just inside the box.

  19. Postpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Southampton 0-0 Sunderland

Still goalless in this game, but Sunderland are looking good at the moment.

Sam Allardyce, who has thrown on Jermain Defoe, senses a winner. He is right at the edge of his technical area, furiously urging his players forward.

Caution is very much being thrown to the wind, a strategy that could backfire?

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Newcastle 0-1 Bournemouth

Big reaction from the home fans as Rolando Aarons replaces Moussa Sissoko. It is a mixture of cheers, jeers and insults. The Newcastle fans are nay happy.
