  1. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-0 Aston Villapublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Sergio Aguero

Did I say settle the nerves? I meant open the floodgates. Wilfried Bony passes behind Micah Richards for Sergio Aguero and the defender's sliding tackle sends the ball spinning into the net off the striker. Villa in big trouble now. This could end up a rugby score now.

  2. goal

GOAL - Man City 1-0 Aston Villapublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Yaya Toure

City come out all guns blazing in the second half and finally break the deadlock. Sergio Aguero breaks in down the right and finds David Silva in the box and his low ball is slotted in by Yaya Toure from 12 yards out. That'll settle the nerves.

Not a great amount of goals in League One. Millwall are the only side winning by a two-goal margin as they lead Blackpool 2-0.

  7. League Two latestpublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

So far so good for the top two in League Two.

Northampton are 2-0 up at Carlisle while Oxford Utd are winning 2-1 at Plymouth.

It is evidently a good day for away sides in the division as Bristol Rovers are winning 1-0 at Notts County, lifting them up to sixth.

Ciaran OC: If I were City I'd get Pep in now. Least that way they would have a decent chance of securing Champions League football next season

Patrick Beaumont: Can see it just being one of those days. Don't think we'll score today. Bony off Iheanacho on

Mark Astley: Only bright part of the game is Villa's shirts

  9. Caught in the middlepublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    HT: Swansea 0-0 Norwich

Both Swansea and Norwich seem to be playing a game of 'let's gather in the middle of the pitch and play it about a bit'.

Check out the average positioning below. Cagey is an understatement.

Is there anyone involved in, or who follows the sport of football, who is in any way, shape or form, shocked that Steve McClaren isn't doing a good job?

  11. Who will be happier?published at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    HT: Swansea 0-0 Norwich

    Tom Garry
BBC Sport at the Liberty Stadium

"The travelling Norwich fans seem marginally happier than their rivals at the break, but neither side will be happy with that first-half display. It has been nervy, scrappy and low on quality. You would not be surprised if someone was sent off in the second half, because it has been that sort of game. One goal could well be enough to settle it, as there have been so few chances."

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Norwich

Should Swansea have a penalty? Andre Ayew trips over a stray Norwich leg inside the box. Nothing given, though.

    That's half-time.

Talk Sense Man!: Crazy to talk of sacking McClaren without a better alternative immediately available to step in. Who is that?

Steven Horlock: Newcastles defence is championship standard and thats exactly where they are going. Inexplicable oversight from McClaren

Alex Johnson: Didn't McClaren say top 10 was the aim this season? How he's still there I'll never know

There didn't look to be much on when Bertrand Traore received the ball from Nemanja Matic, but he caught the Stoke defence unaware with his snapshot.
