  1. A very long Christmas hangoverpublished at 10:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2016

Crystal Palace v Liverpool (13:30 GMT)

What were you doing on 19 December? Some late Christmas shopping? Celebrating finishing work for a few weeks maybe?Well, if that seems like an awful long time ago, spare a thought for Crystal Palace fans. As that is the date of their last Premier League win.

In 11 games since then the Eagles have picked up just four points to fall like a stone. They were sixth in the table that night - they kick-off today in 15th.

A crumb of comfort is that Palace have won six of their last 11 meetings with Liverpool in all competitions.

A win this afternoon is much, much needed...

Sunderland drew 1-1 at Southampton and Swansea beat Norwich yesterday, while a terrible 3-1 home defeat for Newcastle means that the bottom of the table has split apart somewhat.

The teams from Swansea up may be thinking that they are almost safe. Is it going to be two of Newcastle, Norwich and Sunderland?

Or would another defeat for Crystal Palace this afternoon leave them sweating on the run-in?

What a win for West Ham yesterday.

Two-nil down at Goodison Park with 12 minutes to go, the Hammers came back to win with a stoppage-time goal from Dimitri Payet,

Slaven Bilic said on Thursday that the Hammers getting in the Champions League 'was unrealistic.'

Now they are just a point behind Manchester City. It's very much realistic now...

Yesterday's early game was a stone-cold cracker as Arsenal came from 2-1 down with 10 men to take a point in a north London derby at White Hart Lane.

That point suited Leicester, of course, and Claudio Ranieri's men took full advantage by winning the late game at Watford.

Inbetween we had some good stories too...

With nine games to go, Leicester are five points clear at the top of the Premier League.

    Extraordinary. Extraordinary stuff.

Everything went their way yesterday, and even the biggest doubters must now be backing the Foxes to see this out.
