Deary me, Martin Demichelis is having what you call...a mare.

His backpass to Joe Hart is short and the England goalkeeper has show lightening reactions to slide and kick the ball away with Marcus Rashford, shark-like, smelling blood.

Hart has a massive problem, it looks like he's done his calf. 

United get us under way again at Etihad Stadium.

Manchester United are the first ones out onto the field, keen to get the game back up and running.

Manchester City follow not far behind.

Manchester United have the lead at the interval and the pace of Rashford and Martial is giving them a real air of menace.

Interesting to see how much more fluent United look when they are not tied to the tactic of playing through Marouane Fellaini.

Martin Demichelis was also very lucky not to concede a penalty in the closing seconds of the half as he stepped right across Rashford, who is just too quick for him.

Manchester United looking pretty comfortable here and the strain is showing in the voices and on the faces of some Manchester City fans here.

Never mind the title race - Manchester City need to shake a leg here to stop those little worries about not making the top four increasing.

Home fans very subdued.

Juan Mata wins the ball back for United, he has done well in his defensive duties today.

The visitors are looking so dangerous in the final third of the pitch.

Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal is up from his seat and unhappy that Sergio Aguero has caught Daley Blind with a high boot, leaving the Dutchman in a heap.

Yaya Toure gives the ball away to Chris Smalling, who can gallop out of defence and into the City half with the ball.

He feeds Anthony Martial on the right, but the Frenchman's cross evades everyone in the box and rolls away. A little more craft and composure there could have seen United snatch a second.
