    Man City 0-1 Man Utd

"Come on City, come on City" shout the home supporters. United clear another corner and Marcus Rashford almost breaks clear, but is upended by Eliaquim Mangala on the halfway line.

I'm losing calories having to work hard describing the action - wonder how the players are feeling. Looking forward to the half-time oranges...and so are the players.

Frantic stuff at the Etihad Stadium.

City earn another corner from a Jesus Navas cross, but from the resulting set-piece, Bakary Sagna's header is easy for David de Gea.

We've seen some dross served up by these two, but this is one of the most exciting derby matches in recent times.

Willie J Foulke: Can't think of another top 10 side Navas or Demichelis would get into. Pep certainly has a load of dead wood to get rid of.

Piyush Bisht: Wasn't Guardiola's job supposed to be easy peasy? At City he will have his hardest job yet with a squad that is sub par.

Not far off, not far off at all.

United stand off Yaya Toure on the edge of the box who attempts a cute little curler, and with David de Gea scrambling, it goes narrowly wide of the Spaniard's right, hand post.

At the other end, Marcus Rashford nearly collects a through ball but it's just out of his each and Joe Hart slides out to gather.

"Martin Demichelis has made one tackle and it was a lunge. Ever since the goal he has been pathetic."

Daley Blind's corner goes all the way across the box and City can break.

Sergio Aguero on the left is flagged offside but is he? Looks on...just.

Marcus Rashford causing problems to the City defence again, his gangly legs nicking the ball away from Bacary Sagna into the path of Marcos Rojo. United corner...

The game at Old Trafford earlier in the season was a dull 0-0 affair, this is exactly the opposite.

So much excitement and we've seen a goal too. United's strike means City have to push out to get the equaliser and that makes space to utilise the pace of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal very animated on the bench, turning red Fergie-esque as he barks out instructions to his players. His veins were popping out of his head there.

City are knocking the ball around in the United third but Yaya Toure's ball into the box is easily gathered by David de Gea.

Fernando comes into the centre of the park next to Fernandinho, which means Yaya Toure moves up in the hole. David Silva goes wide left where Raheem Sterling was.

Will the change help City get back into the game?

Nope, City are forced into an early change.

Raheem Sterling looks like he has picked up a groin injury after being fouled by Juan Mata.

Fernando comes on, which will mean a change in shape.

Manchester United attackers Marcus Rashford and Antony Martial are relishing the idea of using their pace against Martin Demichelis and Eliaquim Mangala. And how.

City look so vulnerable at the back and United boss Van Gaal will have made this part of his game plan. He was up from his seat punching the air at Rashford's goal and no wonder.

Anxiety in City's defence is spreading around Etihad Stadium.

    Nearly the leveller.

David Silva's free-kick is met by Man City defender Martin Demichelis, who heads wide from six-yards out. He should have buried it.

Maybe he hasn't full got his bearing back after being skinned like a chicken by Marcus Rashford for the goal.

Wale Ibrahim: Rashford is cementing his position in the United line up every game. Maybe its time to start look beyond Rooney.

Ian Funnell: Rashford loving the big games.

Ankur Goel: Say what you want about LVG, he is never afraid to give youth a chance. No matter how big the occasion.

Seconds later, it could have been another.

Anthony Martial's thunderous strike from the edge of the area calls Joe hart into action, who dives to his left to push the ball away. That was arrowing towards the bottom corner.

Fergie will be happy with what he is seeing so far.

"Rashford has no fear. It's a long goal kick from United, they win the second ball, then it is Rashford v Demichelis, see you later Demichelis! Then he is up against England's number one and coolly puts it past him."
