    Marcus Rashford (15 mins)

    Ice cool.

Goodness me, no-one saw this coming. City were on top but it's United who take the lead.

Midfielder Juan Mata breaks clear in midfield and lays in striker Marcus Rashford.

The young striker's fleet-footedness puts defender Martin Demichelis on his backside and takes him through on goal.

Cool as a cucumber, he rolls the ball into the net past Joe Hart to spark wild celebrations in the away end.

    Man City 0-0 Man Utd

An early booking for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling. Remember what happened when he did that a couple of seasons ago? (Got sent off)

On this occasion, he chases Sergio Aguero deep into the City half. The Argentine is too clever though, showing some nifty footwork to escape the attentions of the England international.

Smalling resorts to tugging his opponent back, for which he is carded.

If anyone did not know City were looking for their 50th competitive victory in the Manchester derby they do now. And we assume that is right of course.

    Man City 0-0 Man Utd

City break forward with pace and fashion the first opportunity of the game.

Raheem Sterling breaks clear of Matteo Darmian on the left and chips the ball into the box. It's chested well by Jesus Navas on the penalty spot, who spins and shoots, but his effort sails wide.

Joe Hart hasn't had a touch of the ball yet.

"Our game plan is always for a winning side. I hope we keep the spirit used against West Ham and Liverpool but we have to improve in our possession."

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini: "Every time you have a good achievement, it is good for you. Our focus now on the Premier League and it is a derby game.

"We want to win of course, but it is not the last game of the season. Even if you lose this, there are more games to qualify for the Champions League. It is important to try to be as close to the top of the table as you can."
