  1. Goodbye!published at 22:35

I'd say Manchester City - now England's sole representatives - have a 2/7 chance of a favourable draw. Wolfsburg? Benfica? Yes please.

But at this stage of the competition you expect to be drawn against one of the big hitters.

So who will they get? Make sure you follow our Sportsday Champions League-draw special on Friday from 11:00 GMT.

Oh, and we have the not-so-small matter of the Europa League last-16 tomorrow. Manchester United v Liverpool...Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund....nuff said. See you then!

    Barcelona 3-1 Arsenal (agg 5-1)

Anyway....before all that drama in Bavaria we promised you quotes from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Here's what the Frenchman said...

"I think the performance was good, it was a great game between two good teams. We went out with regrets but they have exceptional quality up front and any mistake at the back they can punish.

"The turning point was at 1-1 because I thought they were wobbling a bit. If we scored a second goal then I felt we could create a sensation. But we didn't.

"In the two games, if you look at danger situations we created many. It is difficult to take to go out but I believe we produced quality performance against probably the best team in Europe."

Wonder what Pep Guardiola said at the break in extra-time? Maybe he ripped off Al Pacino's inspirational talk from Any Given Sunday. Whatever the Bayern boss said, it did the trick

Juve are throwing the kitchen sink at Bayern now. Centre-back Leonardo Bonucci is playing as a makeshift centre-forward (think the Italian Paul Warhurst or Ian Marshall), shooting low at Manuel Neuer.

Less than five minutes left now for Juve to stun Bayern - like the Germans have stunned them...

Almost a lifeline for Juve! A delicious cross from Paul Pogba is met by the flying kick of Mario Mandzukic, who is denied by former team-mate Manuel Neuer. And Stefano Sturaro fires over the rebound with Neuer, for one, floundering.

Tie over. Bayern Munich virtually seal their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a stunning solo goal from Kingsley Coman. The 19-year-old substitute, on loan from Juventus, comes back to haunt his former club, surging forward from inside his own half before blasting past Juve keeper Gigi Buffon.

Substitute Thiago gathers the bouncing ball on the edge of the box, plays a one-two with Thomas Muller and lasers what could be the winner into the bottom corner.

    Barcelona 3-1 Arsenal (agg 5-1)

Arsenal did beat Barcelona in one statistic - but it isn't much consolation. The Gunners peppered the Barca goal with 20 attempts, one more than their opponents. But they only managed to stick three of them on target.

If only Cliff Bastin, Ian Wright or Thierry Henry were still around...

  17. HALF-TIME IN EXTRA TIMEpublished at 21:59 Greenwich Mean Time 16 March 2016

Bayern Munich 2-2 Juventus (agg 4-4)

Juventus holding on. Bayern much improved from the lackluster showing of the first 45 minutes and a betting man would probably now put his pennies on the hosts progressing.

Bayern are enjoying plenty of possession. Juventus haven't the energy to press with the intensity they did in the first 70 minutes of the match, which isn't a surprise.

No clear chances created by either team, though, in these last five minutes but the hosts are playing with more urgency now.
