Can Rob Elliot in goal, Eunan O'Kane in midfield and James McClean - in an unorthodox striking role - catch the eye tonight?

Is this the worst Netherlands side to visit Wembley in years?

The Oranje will not be at Euro 2016 after finishing behind Turkey, Iceland and the Czech Republic in qualifying.

It is the first time the three-time World Cup runners-up have failed to qualify for the European Championship since 1984.

They are are now planning for their qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup after being drawn in the same group as France, Sweden, Bulgaria, Belarus and Luxembourg.

Tributes to Netherlands footballing great Johan Cruyff will be taking place at Wembley.

Both sets of players will wear black armbands in front of the sell-out crowd while in the 14th minute - Cruyff famously wore the number 14 - fans will take part in a minute’s applause to celebrate the legend, who died of cancer last week aged 68.

Cruyff, who made his name as a forward with Ajax and Barcelona, was European footballer of the year three times.

Meanwhile, the Wembley arch will be lit up in black, yellow and red - Belgium's colours - while there will be a one minute of silence before kick-off as a mark of respect for those who lost their lives in the Brussels attacks.

It's been a long journey from when Danny Drinkwater represented Manchester United as a trainee - pictured here in 2007 - and his England debut.

The 26-year-old has grafted. Loan spells at Huddersfield, Watford, Cardiff and Barnsley arrived before the midfielder established himself at Leicester in 2012.

    Chris Waddle
Former England winger at Wembley for 5 live Sport

"If England do play a diamond then Danny Drinkwater is going to sit in front of the back four alone.

"He doesn't do that at Leicester - he plays in a two alongside N'Golo Kante.

"If he's being asked to play where Eric Dier did against Germany then that's taking away from Drinkwater's game.

"It's going to be very difficult for him to prove his worth playing in a different position."

Matt Sellers: Lallana is a bit like a scarf in the summer, an unnecessary luxury. Give Barkley the chance to play with Alli.

Nice description Matt. Though can't you get thin fashionable neckwear for summer?

"England enter this friendly on a high after the outstanding comeback from two goals down to beat Germany in Berlin on Saturday.

"The stakes are high for the likes of Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, making his England debut tonight at 26, because this is the last England international before manager Roy Hodgson names his squad in May.

"A good performance tonight will give Hodgson real food for thought as he finalises his plans - so big nights forDrinkwater, Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker and also for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, playing his first game for England in 573 days after a succession of injuries."

    Scotland v Denmark (20:00 BST)

The Scottish FA have just announced a revised line-up, different to the ones we were told a few minutes ago.

Celtic's 18-year-old full-back Kieran Tierney and Hibernian midfielder John McGinn start for Scotland in tonight's friendly against Denmark. The pair make their full international debuts as Gordon Strachan seeks greater depth to his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign.

Tierney's Celtic team-mate Leigh Griffiths starts up front, with Steven Fletcher likely to play behind him. Matt Ritchie and Shaun Maloney will play wide, with Scott Brown winning his 50th cap alongside McGinn in central midfield. Craig Gordon plays in goal, with Steven Whittaker, Gordon Greer and Grant Hanley making up the rest of the defence.

What are the chances of another 4-1 England win, just as they did nearly 20 years ago? Alan Shearer and Teddy Sheringham were Wembley heroes that day. Can Daniel Sturridge and Jamie Vardy do the business against the Oranje?

Last time England defeated the Netherlands?

You have to go all the way back to Euro 96 when Britpop was all over the radio and Alan Shearer had Three Lions fans dreaming of a tournament win.

Shearer and Teddy Sheringham scored two each in a 4-1 win at Wembley before England were knocked out by Germany eight days later in the semi-finals.

This is England's first meeting with the Netherlands for four years, when Scott Parker captained the side and Fraizer Campbell came on as a substitute in a 3-2 friendly defeat at Wembley.

  15. 'Rooney should start'published at 19:26

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Spurs & England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

"I would 100% take Wayne Rooney to Euro 2016 and I think start him in the first game.

"Roy Hodgson will give him a game, see how it works but in the knowledge that Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy are snapping at his heels.

"I don't think it's fair to say Rooney slows down England too much - you also need brains and Wayne has shown he has that in international football over the years."

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is at Wembley. I'm sure he'll be thrilled Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy are starting but he will be praying both emerge injury free ahead of the title run-in.

So, clever people, when was the last time two Leicester City players both featured in the same game for England? The answer is coming up...
