The two anthems are done and dusted, thankfully the Germany girls manage to sing along to their national ditty without breaking into fits of giggles...

Time for one final huddle for each side before kick-off.

England manager Mark Sampson on BBC Red Button: "It is going to be a tough game - Germany are an excellent team and they are ranked in the top three in the world for a reason.

"We have got to win - we're determined to win. We're set up to win

"We're not going to go gung-ho from the start but if we're not winning with 10-15 minutes to go we've got to give ourselves a chance of lifting this cup."

A quick bit of Beeb housekeeping as the two sets of players stroll out of the tunnel. Here's a friendly reminder that you can watch all the action from Nashville without leaving this page. Just click the 'Live Coverage' tab.

If you prefer to watch the telly (as well as still following these words *cough cough*) then Red Button is the place to go. At least until half-time when BBC One will kick into life before showing the action.

"I don't think anyone would ever think they would achieve something like this," Williams, 32, told BBC Sport.

"It's a proud moment for both me and my family. It's going to be massive."

Never heard of the SheBelieves Cup? You're not the only one. But there's a good reason why - it is a brand-spanking new tournament.

So what is it? It's a new competition featuring four of the best five ranked teams in the world – United States (1st), Germany (2nd), France (3rd) and England (5th).

It’s a round-robin tournament. And it consists of three double-headers taking place in three different cities in the south-east corner of the US. There is no final and the winner of the tournament will based on total points.

England have none. So a win over European champions Germany in Nashville, Tennessee, will go down as well as a Dolly Parton night in a local karaoke bar.

England v Germany. A fixture to stir patriotic pride in most English folk - whether they care one jolt about the subject matter or not. Football, hockey, tiddlywinks, whatever....

So I assume most of you have a St George's Cross wafting in the wind from the side of your house? You've caked your face in red and white paint? And you're ready to stand up and belt out God Save The Queen?

    Excellent. Let's crack on then.
