If Louis van Gaal still thinks his team can make the Champions League, then surely that applies to Southampton and Liverpool, who also face each other this afternoon at 13:30 GMT. The winner of that game can draw level with Manchester United, if Louis van Gaal's team are beaten later by their arch rivals.

After Jurgen Klopp's current side drew his former team Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter-finals, stealing a top four spot might still be the best chance Liverpool have of playing in Europe's elite competition next season.

That would be an occasion to say "Boom".

  2. The Meh-chester derby?published at 10:18 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

There is also a game between fourth and sixth in the Premier League. Also known as the Manchester derby. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but it feels a bit insignificant compared to other games already mentioned today.

They'll probably conjure up a 5-4 thriller to ensure they are top of the running order on Match of the Day 2, but remember the game earlier in the season? Me neither. It was 0-0.

  3. Biggest Tyne-Wear derby in decades?published at 10:12 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

There is the small matter of the Tyne-Wear derby where recently-appointed Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez will get his first taste of what football means to the North East.

Both the Magpies and opponents Sunderland are in the relegation zone, so with the prospect of dropping out of the Premier League and losing out on a potential £100m next season, many are calling this the biggest Tyne-Wear derby in decades.

  4. How do they stand?published at 10:05 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2016

As it stands Leicester hold an eight-point lead over second-placed Tottenham, who have Sunday's home game against Bournemouth to reduce that gap to five. Then only seven games will remain and who knows what could happen.

It could be another massive day in the title race and there's a couple of derbies that might cause some interest too, one more significant than the other.

  5. 'We're gonna win the league'published at 10:00

If it was up to the Leicester fans at Selhurst Park on Saturday, they'd probably still be there singing "we're gonna win the league" after their team's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Manager Claudio Ranieri won't say it, the players won't say it, but it's clear the supporters believe it.

    Over to you Tottenham.
