    Alexis Sanchez (4 mins)

That didn't take long. Arsenal start on the front foot and are rewarded with the opener. Alex Iwobi's cross finds Alexis Sanchez, whose initial header is saved by Heurelho Gomes but the keeper can do nothing to prevent the Chilean finding the net on the follow-up.

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace make a bright start as Joe Ledley floats a tame header on goal. Alan Pardew's current side need to find a result from somewhere today. His old side West Ham could end the day in fourth.

    Norwich 0-0 Newcastle

Play on ref! Mike Dean brings play to a halt inside 10 seconds to clear a massive inflatable ball off the surface. No repeats of Liverpool at Sunderland today!

Moussa Sissoko had actually managed to keep both the real ball in play and the big one off the pitch there. Top work.

    Arsenal v Watford (15:00 BST)

There's a healthy Watford contingent at the Emirates. They clearly fancy another big win following their FA Cup victory on this ground 20 days ago.

The Hornets have already shattered the Gunners' hopes of one trophy this season. Can they make it two?

"It's glorious weather here. What a crunch game this is this afternoon. There is so much to play for. A lot can be decided this afternoon - if Norwich beat Newcastle they'll think they have a great chance of staying up."

Northampton Town are enjoying an incredible 17-match unbeaten run, coming from 2-0 down on Easter Monday against Mansfield to draw 2-2. Today they look to extend their 13 point lead at the top of the table and can even secure promotion as they host a middling Notts County.

If they win,Accrington lose to Cambridge and Bristol Rovers fail to beat Crawley then the Cobblers will be back in League One next term.

At the bottom, Dagenham & Redbridge do not play until Tuesday so second-bottom York will want to pull clear when the tackle Leyton Orient at Bootham Crescent at 15:00 BST.

And keep Keith Stroud in your thoughts this afternoon. The top flight ref takes charge of a potentially feisty Devon Derby as Exeter welcome Plymouth. Tasty.

Coventry City head to Gillingham on Saturday with the Gills enjoying the best home record in the division, having only lost twice all season. Not brilliant for the Sky Blues, who lost two on the bounce themselves over Easter.

Burton and Wigan are tussling at the top, with the Brewers just a point ahead but the Latics with a far superior goal difference. At 15:00 BST, Wigan kick off away at Shrewsbury while Burton host Bury.

And a seaside scrap today, as relegation-threatened Blackpool welcome play-off contending Southend to Bloomfield Road.

    Aston Villa 0-4 Chelsea

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss at Villa Park for 5 live Sport

"The game ran away from Villa. They started not too badly and were reasonable for the first 20 minutes, but then the mist descended. In the end it became embarrassing. An insipid performance, and people will look to the lack of quality and the lack of fight.

"I just feel sorry for this club. Desolation on the terraces and desperation on the pitch. This is such a sad club at the moment."

Chelsea make it 14 games unbeaten in the Premier League with the easiest win they'll get all year. Even Pato scored.

    Ugly for Villa. Very ugly.

A big game in west London this afternoon, with Fulham, hovering just a point above the relegation zone, hosting MK Dons, the team just below them.

With second top Middlesbrough not playing until Tuesday and league leaders Burnley involved in one of today's early kick-offs, the chance exists for Hull to make up some ground. They welcome Bristol City to the KC Stadium for 15:00 BST.

And a duel of the ex-bosses at New York Stadium. Former Rotherham manager Steve Evans brings his Leeds team to South Yorkshire... to face one-time Whites manager Neil Warnock's Millers.

    Stoke v Swansea (15:00 BST)

Jack Butland’s much-publicised ankle injury means that Jakob Haugaard makes his league debut for Stoke, having arrived from Midtjylland last summer. Shay Given, who will turn 40 in less than three weeks, is on the bench.

Bojan Krkic comes in for Jonathan Walters, who could miss the rest of the season as he recovers from knee surgery. Erik Pieters returns at left-back after a calf injury.

Three changes for Swansea; Kyle Naughton, Leon Britton and Wayne Routledge are in; Stephen Kingsley, Ki Sung-yueng and Modou Barrow drop out. Gambia’s Barrow and Ecuador’s Jefferson Montero only returned from international duty on Friday, with the latter on the bench.

  18. RED CARDpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Aston Villa 0-4 Chelsea

Villa thought it couldn't get worse. They were wrong. Alan Hutton is sent off for a horror of a sliding tackle that is late and gives Ruben Loftus-Cheek an absolute clattering.

The home fans clap him off. It is way more than he deserves.

  19. Burnley draw levelpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 2 April 2016

    Brighton 2-2 Burnley

Justice for Burnley and for Michael Keane, who had a goal wrongly ruled out a few minutes ago. This one counts, though. Keane powers home a header in the 93rd minute to bring the leaders level.
