Carroll in on goal, but he never really convinces and ends up hitting the shins of David de Gea.

Lovely from Dimitri Payet as he lets the ball through his legs to free Manuel Lanzini, those two on a different wavelength to everyone else at the moment.

A cross then comes in to Andy Carroll, and he tees up Payet for a rifled effort straight at David de Gea.

In case you missed the announcement this afternoon, England manager Roy Hodgson will name his original Euros squad next Monday.

The old place has been rocking since well before kick-off and Diafra Sakho's goal has turned the volume up even more. West Ham United are all over Manchester United and at the moment Louis van Gaal's side cannot get any attacking momentum - early days though.

Dimitri Payet has to move some cumbersome AV equipment out of the way to take a corner. He picks out Mark Noble deep, some 30 yards out, for a Paul Scholes-style volley but Noble's effort is deflected and the follow up is hoiked over the crossbar.

Eddie: Get in there..Sakho scores 1st goal for West Ham..brilliant movement & Finnish. 

Richard: OF COURSE it was a deflection. Because why wouldn't it be? A break would be nice
