"It is far too predictable from Everton. United are able to defend very, very easily.

"Martinez needs to have the teamtalk of his life.

"After the performance in the week, which he described as embarrassing, this hasn't been much better."

Everton are going to need a change in fortunes akin to Balboa in Rocky III to sort this one out.

Fayaz Adam: United's best player so far is Lingard, very intelligent movement and link up play!

Samwise: Really do not understand the hype around John Stones. He is awful and is having another shocker today.

William Ogle: This is the "performance" that Everton were saving by sacrificing their Wednesday game? Yeah, OK...

It's hard to make any case for Everton coming back into this game at the moment. Gerard Deulofeu and Kevin Mirallas are options on the bench.

"It's difficult for anyone to come up against Martial when he's in this sort of form. He made the goal.

"Louis van Gaal always seems to come up with a big result when he needs it doesn't he?"

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

"Everton have had those chances from Romelu Lukaku but other than that Manchester United have been vastly superior and fully deserve their lead.

"Manchester United's supporters are already in celebratory mood and Everton look a downcast, downtrodden team. They need to summon up some resolve from somewhere to turn this around but it is a huge task."

Peter Reid described Everton as 'just a slightly better Wigan' on the radio in midweek. Everton fans would take that now if it means a repeat of Wigan's FA Cup win under Martinez in 2013...

Everton need to come straight back into this with more movement and pace going forwards. Next 12 minutes are crucial. Does Martinez even know what Plan B means?

"That almost brought a smile to Louis Van Gaal's face. It was a very simple finish for Fellaini in the end and is everything Manchester United deserve so far.

"Martial went past Besic far too easy and it was a simple finish. It was great play. It started with Rashford and then Martial and Manchester United deserve to be one goal up."

Roberto Martinez looks as downbeat as you would expect in his technical area. He looks like he has the weight of the world - well, his club anyway - on his shoulders. It's been easy for Manchester United so far.

Today is the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and our colleagues at BBC Learning have been playing with their ShakespeareMe tool to give us an idea of how the great man might have described the drama of an FA Cup semi-final.

Here's one for the Everton fans...

"Marouane Fellaini. But Anthony Martial causes the damage down the left again. It's just too easy for him. When it comes to Fellaini there's a bit of fortune, it's a bit of a scuffed finish, but it doesn't matter. Manchester United have deserved that."

The one man Everton fans probably didn't want to see score. Well, apart from Wayne Rooney.

It comes down the left as Anthony Martial toasts Muhamed Besic for the umpteenth time already, he drives into the area and then cuts out Phil Jagielka with a neat pass back. Marouane Fellaini is six yards out, he mishits it slightly but it bobbles into the net.

Fellaini celebrates by pointing out his name to the Everton fans.

There have already twice as many shots on target in this match (six) as in the recent Premier League fixture between these two sides at Old Trafford.

It's been a lively watch, as Wayne Rooney now shoots left-footed from the edge of the box but he doesn't get hold of it.
