Rich, Walsall: Germany won't be reading much into this game - Iceland living up to their lowly world ranking....and to be fair, Bhutan would have given England problems in the last round!

Are we looking at the champions here in France? Hard to say. They will play Germany in Marseille next Thursday night. That should be immense.

Dimitri Payet has the first shot of the second half but lifts it well over the bar.

I saw Alfred Finnbogason play for Real Sociedad and in all honesty he couldn't hit a barndoor with a banjo in that game.

    France 4-0 Iceland

France's biggest win in Euros history is a 5-0 tonking of Belgium. Could they match that? There's no need to. Iceland will keep going - their fans gave them a superb reception as they re-emerged.

France have been excellent, they've done the job people thought they'd would, lots of running in behind, but I've been surprised by how high a line Iceland have been playing.

If I was Didier Deschamps I wouldn't make too many changes. If they're out there enjoying themselves, keep them out there, but you don't want any important players picking up a niggle.

France had five shots on target in that first half. That's what you call clinical.

Naveed Afzal: France were simply breathtaking in that first half. They've finally turned up and turned it on.

Sahil Oberoi: I didn't think I could feel any worse about England's performance against Iceland, I was wrong.

Iceland are being made to look like Iceland tonight. There's no shame in that. And they'll have the win over England forever.

I thought France's players were slightly low key with their celebrations after their third goal but not so after the tie-sealing fourth.

Everyone sprinted towards Griezmann, while several Iceland players slumped to the floor as though it was the final whistle.

France's players walked off to the strains of some awful Europop, much to the blissful delight of the more-than-delighted fans of the home side.

    Danny Mills

Quality players really step up when it matters. Olivier Giroud has been criticised by some but it was a great finish for his first. He's come back and shown real class and quality. We've seen some absolutely outstanding finishing from France when they've got through.

Didier Deschamps will probably give these players another 15 or 20 minutes before making a few changes, resting a few.
