    Eder

A breakthrough! Out of nothing! Eder picks the ball up a long way out, he rolls Laurent Koscielny and then hits a low, early shot from all of 25 yards, it's a bit of a bobbler but right into the corner!

It's his first competitive goal for Portugal! What a time to get it!

Well that would have been hugely controversial! It should never have been a free-kick but left-back Raphael Guerreiro steps up in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and drills it against the bar!

Barcelona-bound defender Samuel Umtiti (116) has already made the most passes in a single Euros game by any French player since 1980.

But now we might have an actual chance! Portugal have a free-kick 25 yards out...

Eder handles it, Mark Clattenburg thinks it's Laurent Koscielny, who gets booked!

Here we go. Uefa, Fifa, have a word and let's get rid of extra time. It offers nothing.

Cristiano Ronaldo is giving Eder a motivational speech down there. Is it harsh to say that those two are on differing ends of the technical scale?

Portugal now win a corner. That's what this text commentary has come to I'm afraid. It's been a long month.

Corner-by-corner updates. Sometimes 20 minutes or more apart.

Mark Clattenburg steps in to talk to Pepe after he shoves Samuel Umtiti in the chest. And there is a half chance, Eder heading down and Hugo Lloris patting it down easily.

Paul Pogba wins a corner, Antoine Griezmann tonks it out beyond the penalty area, Harry Kane style.

How are we holding up out there? This is a war of attrition. If anybody has had to come up against opposition for the remote control tonight I can only apologise.

Pepe just goes a fraction early.

There won't be many chances. Tiredness is kicking in when the chances fall can the player keep their composure?

The best bit of action for Portugal in a long time as Pepe heads a free-kick wide - but he was offside anyway.

Portugal's ambitions are extremely limited on the ball. As has been said by many pundits so far, they want a shootout.

Four of the five finals that have gone to extra time were settled within it. But the extra time in this tournament has been utterly terrible.

    Straight to penalties?

Cristiano Ronaldo is going round his team-mates trying to motivate them. He wants to get his hands on the trophy. I think Portugal are waiting to go to penalties. They have defended very well but are not risking much.
