    Paris St-Germain 1-1 Lille

Two chances in two minutes for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as PSG attempt to respond. The first, he heads wide, the second is deflected over. I know most of you are here for the Barcelona game, but this Coupe de la Ligue final is set up beautifully now.

  2. goal

    Luis Suarez (88 mins)

Luis Suarez has scored four goals! For the second time in a week! Lionel Messi slips in the Uruguayan, who beats Ivan Cuellar at his near post - via the woodwork. Scenes.

  3. goal

GOAL - Barcelona 5-0 Sporting Gijonpublished at 21:12 British Summer Time 23 April 2016

    Neymar (86 mins)

Luis Suarez isn't given the chance to make it two four-goal hauls in a row. Neymar instead is given the chance to boost his confidence. And he does. Sort of.

His penalty is actually poor down the centre and Ivan Cuellar gets a touch but it goes in anyway.

    A rout.

Ognjen Vranjes put his arm on Neymar's back. A second yellow sees him off. Very very harsh.

A great response from Lille.  Soufiane Boufal surges down the centre, and is brought down just outside the penalty area by Adrien Rabiot, who is booked. It's a Lille free-kick, a couple of yards from the edge of the D.

Djibril Sidibe steps up, and places it into the corner past an unsighted Salvatore Sirigu. Game on.

    Barcelona 3-0 Sporting Gijon

Barcelona can relax now and Arda Turan comes on for Ivan Rakitic in midfield. Of course it's not really like Barca have anything to rest players for. They're the only La Liga title contender not in the Champions League anymore.

Roberto Canella's first touch is to deny Barcelona a brilliant third. Neymar clips a ball over the top to Lionel Messi, who controls the ball on his thigh twice and then shoots towards goal but the Sporting defender clears.

  20. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 23 April 2016

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Lille

Vincent Enyeama is still protesting to the officials as the half-time whistle goes, to the point that he has to be dragged away by a member of Lille's coaching staff.

So: Let's have a look at the offside law. It states that:

A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by:

    1) Interfering with play, or2) Interfering with an opponent, or3) Gaining an advantage by being in that position.

Enyeama's argument, I would guess, is that Layvin Kurzawa was interfering with an opponent, because the goalkeeper could not get a clear dive towards Javier Pastore's shot. Discuss.
