Hull lift the play-off trophy

As the theme music from the 'Gladiator' film rings out, Michael Dawson lifts the trophy for Hull, who are back in the Premier League!

Hull's triumphant players begin the journey up the steps to receive the play-off trophy.

Plenty of the Owls fans have stayed behind to see this, despite their team's loss.

Hull boss Steve Bruce tells Sky Sports: "That little bit of quality, to decide a big game, Diame has produced a bit of magic and it's won us the match.

"We seemed to have so many good chances. Thankfully Diame has come up with a wonder striker and I'm delighted for him.

"I thought we had the better chances - my big players today performed excellently."

Joy and relief comes out as Hull celebrate, having held on in those frantic final moments. Manager Steve Bruce looks exhausted but delighted.

Sheffield Wednesday just didn't have quite enough quality in the key moments today.

That's it! Hull are back in the Premier League!

Jeremy Helan scoops over the bar and that, surely, is that.

The Owls have a chance for a long throw into the box - Lucas Joao has a shot at goal - did it hit a hand? The referee says no. Now they win a corner, Hull are not over the line yet!

370 days since relegation, Hull are less than 30 seconds from returning to the big time.

Eldin Jakupovic is back up and play resumes. Hull then win a free-kick near the halfway line. Is time up for the Owls? They might not get time for another attack.

Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal looks extremely frustrated on the touchline. His side are surely out of time. Hull's fans are singing loud and proud now.

A high Sheffield Wednesday ball, launched into the box, is bravely claimed by Eldin Jakupovic, who is hurt as he jumps for the ball. He goes down clutching his head, so play stops.

We are into four added minutes. Hull have four minutes to hold on.

We are into the final minute of normal time. Mohamed Diame's terrific goal looks set to make Steve Bruce the first manager to win promotion to the Premier League four times, and send Hull into the Premier League.

Keiren Westwood makes a hash of a clearance, which helps Hull wind down the clock a tad more.

The Owls are running out of time - they need to get the ball forward.

And Steve Bruce brings off goal scorer Mohamed Diame for Harry Maguire. Do Hull think they've won it?

Hull win a free-kick in the Sheffield Wednesday half and they have the ball exactly where they want it. It was a needless challenge from Daniel Pudil that merely helps Hull waste a bit more time.

And that is Pudil's last act as he is replaced by Owls striker Lucas Joao - a very attacking substitution as the Owls now have four forwards on the field. Well, it's now or never...

Fernando Forestieri finds room in the left corner of the Hull penalty area but his cut-back can't quite find a Sheffield Wednesday player.

Moments later, Hull's top scorer Abel Hernandez is replaced by David Meyler.
