Hull clear the danger from that free-kick and go on the attack themselves. It's end-to-end.

This has slowly brewed into a lively first half!

It's poor defending. Mohamed Diame had three Sheffield Wednesday players around him. I think he's waiting for them to take the ball off him, and when they don't his shot when he gets clear is a pretty poor one.

Down the other end, Sheffield Wednesday win a free-kick near the corner flag as Andrew Robertson fouls Ross Wallace.

Mohamed Diame weaves past three Sheffield Wednesday players and smacks the near post from seven yards out. That was close again for Hull!

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Wembley

"Hull are a side completely transformed after a sleepy opening 25 minutes from Steve Bruce's side.

"Wednesday are having to show a bit of fight at the back as a few spaces start to open up for Mohamed Diame and his fellow midfielders to pick out through balls for Abel Hernandez."

"Two great opportunities just now for Hull City. Hernandez made the goalkeeper work and it was a great save.

"Hull need to score while they're on top."

As I mentioned earlier, Hull haven't sold their full ticket allocation at Wembley, leaving a few empty seats in the Tigers' end...

Moses Odubajo has a go from range for Hull but strikes wide, left-footed from range.

Hull have really come into this game over the past five minutes and look strong all of a sudden.

    Stunning save. Stunning.

Abel Hernandez is clean through and prods towards goal but Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood brilliantly denies him with the deftest of touches.

It's mishit from Michael Dawson into Kieran Lee's hand, I don't think he puts his hand towards the ball, it just takes him by surprise. I don't think it's a penalty.

At the other end, Sheffield Wednesday's Fernando Forestieri  has room to shoot from the edge of the area but blasts well wide.

  13. CLOSE!published at 29 mins

    Hull City 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, rather indecisively, gives away a corner to Hull, out of nothing, carrying a long ball over the line.

It goes deep to the edge of the area and an unmarked Abel Hernandez header is cleared off the line by Kieran Lee.

Michael Dawson follows in for the rebound but the Owls clear - but was a hand used by Lee there to deny Dawson? The referee says no.

That was Hull's best moment so far.

It is understandable for some of the players to be rather nervous... this match is worth an estimated minimum of £170m to the winner. No pressure then, lads.

It's been a relatively slow start at Wembley, it has to be said - well, certainly compared to last year.

Norwich were 2-0 up against Middlesbrough by this stage in the 2015 final, thanks to early goals from Cameron Jerome and Nathan Redmond.

Sheffield Wednesday's Jack Hunt tries to catch a long ball down the right and keep it in play but it runs out for a Hull goal kick.

The Owls fans are making most of the noise, I have to say. They're bouncing. Literally.

We could be in for a long evening, of course.

Extra-time and - if needed - penalties, will decide this match if the score remains level after 90 minutes.

    Hull City 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are only the second team in the past 11 seasons to finish sixth in the Championship table and reach the play-off final.

The other nine all fell at the semi-final stage, but the only side that made it to Wembley - Blackpool in 2010 - were promoted to the Premier League.

    Hull City 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic tentatively punches away the free-kick, rather nervously, I'd say. Sheffield Wednesday will be the happier of the two sides so far.

The Owls are putting on a bit of pressure and they win another free-kick, this time close to the edge of the penalty area, just off the centre of the goal.
