Matthew Smith: I have Hungary in sweepstake, but you get money back if you have tournament's worst team. So 5-0 to Austria today please.

Jonathan: Today will be the days of 4-goal games...first up Austria 3-1....

We are seconds into the game and David Alaba, Austria's superstar, absolutely hammers an effort in from 20 yards which beats Gabor Kiraly - who is wearing his famous grey tracksuit pants - but cannons off the post.

With Hungary having a 40-year-old (Gabor Kiraly) and 37-year-old (Zoltan Gera) in the team, you might wonder how old the average age of their starting line-up is. Well, I did anyway.

And Opta have told us... they're actually younger than Austria's XI by seven days. (28 years, 103 days v 28 years, 110 days)

"Austria have real quality throughout the side, they're a lot of people's dark horses, but don't rule out Hungary - as we've seen in pretty much every game at the Euros so far, the less fancied sides don't give a lot away."

Paul Strudwick: Austria ranked 10th in the world - an indicator of Euro 2016 prospects? Being ranked second didn't do Belgium much good vs. Italy!

Jacob: Austria could spring a surprise for the tournament - Fuchs, Arnautovic, Alaba... any top side would love those three...

Austria beat Hungary 5-0 in the first ever official international game for either country (back in 1902).

Hungary have won 66 meetings, with Austria winning 40 of their 137 games (31 draws).

Their only meeting in a major tournament was in the 1934 World Cup quarter-finals as Austria won 2-1.

Their last competitive games were in 1986 World Cup qualifying. Hungary won 3-1 in Budapest and 3-0 in Vienna to qualify for their last major tournament (until now).

The most recent game was a 2006 friendly, with Hungary winning 2-1.

This is only Austria's second European Championship. They were pretty awful in Euro 2008, which they only reached because they co-hosted with Switzerland, picking up one point from three games.

Hungary used to be pretty class, finishing third at 1964 and fourth in 1972. That was the last time they reached the Euros, until now, following a rapid and dramatic decline.

Head coach Marcel Koller only used 20 players during their whole campaign, no country used fewer.

Unless this is the first football game you've followed in a year, you'll probably be aware that Leicester won the Premier League in one of sport's all-time shocks.

Well their defender Christian Fuchs is captain of one of Euro 2016 qualifying's main success stories - Austria.

They won nine of their 10 games to actually qualify for a European Championship for the first time. They qualified automatically for Euro 2008 as joint hosts but did not win a game.

BBC World Service has spoken to captain Fuchs about his country's chances. If the interview does not automatically appear, click on this link.

Chris Green, Huddersfield: The footballing world doesn't get how much of a surprise package the Austrians could be at these European Championships. Obviously there are teams of higher class than Austria, but expect this nation to be the source of amazement. Anyone who doesn't rate them - write them off at your peril.
