The first major shock of Euro 2016 sees Hungary beat Austria, one of the top teams in qualifying. 

And in a tournament where four of the six third-placed teams progress, this win alone could take them into the last 16.

Hungary keeping the ball in the corner. Job done.

Austria have a chance to pull one back but Marko Arnautovic's shot from David Alaba's pass is straight at Gabor Kiraly.

Ciaran Cundelan: All this talk of Belgium and Austria being dark horses for the tournament....

Daniel Capurro: Does this mean that Hungary are the new "dark horses"? Or does it not work like that?

"This has been really poor from Austria. Hungary are easily worthy winners. Zoltan Gera's marshalled the midfield, Tamas Kadar has thrown himself in front of everything in defence. They'll get so much confidence from this performance."

This will be Hungary's first ever win at a European Championship in normal time. They won a third place play-off in 1964 v Denmark after extra time.

"Fresh legs, and what composure from Zoltan Stieber for the finish. You see so many players in that situation, wide-eyed, sky the ball over the bar. That was absolutely superb execution - one of the coolest finishes I've seen in a long time."

That second goal was set up by an ex-Preston loanee and scored by a former Yeovil one, Football League fans might be interested to know.

"When you're one goal down to an underdog with about 15 minutes left it's very difficult to get yourself back in the game - all the players you're up against seem to find that extra 10%. And add in Austria being down to 10 men..."

I was going to say it sums up their day but that's a cliche. But it has, you know, summed up their day.
