"The underdogs. Marko Arnautovic looks so frustrated on the pitch but Hungary worked so hard together, like brothers on the pitch. Their victory is fully deserved."

Daniel Woodley: This is a wonderful moment for Hungary. First major tournament in 30 years and they have opened with a win. Thoroughly deserved.

Daniel Woods: I, like many, looked at this group and wrote off Hungary straight away. I owe them a huge apology. Sorry Hungary!

Neil Cheese: If football was played on paper Austria would have been easy winners. On grass, anything can happen.

The first major shock of Euro 2016 sees Hungary beat Austria, one of the top teams in qualifying.

And in a tournament where four of the six third-placed teams progress, this win alone could take them into the last 16.

Ciaran Cundelan: All this talk of Belgium and Austria being dark horses for the tournament....

Daniel Capurro: Does this mean that Hungary are the new "dark horses"? Or does it not work like that?

"This has been really poor from Austria. Hungary are easily worthy winners. Zoltan Gera's marshalled the midfield, Tamas Kadar has thrown himself in front of everything in defence. They'll get so much confidence from this performance."

This will be Hungary's first ever win at a European Championship in normal time. They won a third place play-off in 1964 v Denmark after extra time.

"Fresh legs, and what composure from Zoltan Stieber for the finish. You see so many players in that situation, wide-eyed, sky the ball over the bar. That was absolutely superb execution - one of the coolest finishes I've seen in a long time."

    Zoltan Stieber

Hungary are down to 10 men temporarily - with Attila Fiola off injured - but they have wrapped this game up.

Austria have sent men forward and that leaves them exposed at the back - a quick Tamas Priskin ball forward totally catches them out - Zoltan Stieber chases onto it and clips a delicious chip over the head of Robert Almer for the biggest shock of Euro 2016 so far.

David Alaba has a shot deflected over the bar.

Gabor Kiraly, the oldest player the Euros have ever seen, holds the corner well. And takes an age to play it out.

Is the six second rule the least obeyed one in football?

"When you're one goal down to an underdog with about 15 minutes left it's very difficult to get yourself back in the game - all the players you're up against seem to find that extra 10%. And add in Austria being down to 10 men..."

I was going to say it sums up their day but that's a cliche. But it has, you know, summed up their day.
