Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, who plays in France for Nantes, causes confusion in the Portugal defence with a flicked header towards the six-yard box, and Raphael Guerreiro has to scramble clear.

At the other end, Cristiano Ronaldo desperately wants to get his name on the scoresheet but it's not happening for him today.

He burst forward towards the edge of the box, but his shot is wayward and flies harmlessly over the bar.

Iceland ask for a free-kick as the ball comes off the hand off Vieirinha, but he actually tried to get his hand away from the ball. Correct decision not to give anything there.

Vieirinha sweeps in a sumptuous inswinging free-kick, which goalscorer Nani flicks on, but he does not get enough on it and the ball sails agonisingly wide.

"I don't think the referee saw what Pepe did - he's got away with it. He easily could have got a yellow card for that."  

A flashpoint involving Pepe as he kicks out at an Iceland player, but it seems like Cuneyt Cakir missed the incident.

The Real Madrid man would have been off if the ref saw that.

"Portugal have dominated since the second minute. To have given the goal away that they did, it's really poor. They're lacking ideas in the final third. They need to change it up."

Iceland are camped deep in their own half and are hardly getting a chance to get their foot on the ball.

They clear it towards the Portugal area, but Fernando Santos's men keep on flooding forward.

Now Cristiano Ronaldo gets a chance to run at the Iceland defender, but Ragnar Sigurdsson does brilliantly to halt his progress.

Meanwhile, left-back Ari Skulason is allowed a rare foray forward and puts a dangerous ball into the box, but Rui Patricio shows good handling to collect the ball.
