Iceland are not messing about here, they let Cristiano Ronaldo know he is in for a battle and then go to the other end of the pitch and almost score.

Main man Gylfi Sigurdsson picks the ball up on the left flank and weaves his way into the box but his shot at the near post is pushed away by Rui Patricio.

The Swansea man gets onto the rebound but again, strikes straight at the goalkeeper.

An excellent start this from the minnows.

"Iceland, I don't even know how they made it. It's like bringing a town to the Euros. Sheer desire and commitment, well done to them. But they have some real quality in their side too with Sigurdsson and Sigthorsson."   

Iceland scored 17 goals in qualifying and Gylfi Sigurdsson was involved in nine of those.

He scored six times from 11 efforts on target and provided three more assists so you can see how integral he is for the team.
