Well, if Northern Ireland wanted to see how well they could contain another side, they can take a lot of encouragement from this. Slovakia have plenty of possession but have not been able to create a huge amount of clear-cut chances.

Quality stuff from Steven Davis. He closes down Jan Durica and wins a corner off the flustered home defender. Unfortunately for the away side, the resulting delivery is too close to the home keeper, who punches clear.

"It is excellent from Gareth McAuley. He knows exactly what to do and blocks it for the corner kick."

It is starting to become a bit attack v defence, with the home side providing the former. Marek Hamsik has a sight of goal in the box but is quickly closed down and his shot blocked by McAuley.

"Weiss has been poor today. Nothing has really gone for him.

"There is no contact and he goes down."

Weiss drops to the turf in the box, but it appears to be more embarrassment at his terrible first touch than any contact with Paddy McNair.

The home side come forward again with a deep cross that is cleared to the edge of the box before being driven low past the post by Juraj Kucka.

If you needed further proof that this game is drifting, you need only look to the stands. We've got a Mexican Wave. 

Nice move from Slovakia. Miroslav Stoch's diagonal ball to the right is headed back into the box for Ondrej Duda to fire a first-time effort way over the bar.

Double change for Slovakia. Miroslav Stoch and Ondrej Duda come on for Robert Mak and Michal Duris.

Weiss looks a really good player... right up until he has to deliver something meaningful. He cuts in from the left, driving with purpose, but his chipped pass limps harmlessly out for a goal-kick.

"It would have been a brilliant breakaway goal."

Great save from Matus Kozacik! Conor Washington drives down the left before cutting in and firing a low shot that would have slotted inside the post but for the home keeper's outstretched boot.

Great work by Washington - direct and threatening.

First half-chance for Northern Ireland comes from a superb Oliver Norwood delivery into the box from a free-kick. It requires a Slovak head to put the ball behind. The corner comes to nothing, though.

Kyle Lafferty is down and nursing a knock. He is smiling, though, so hopefully it isn't bad. Michael O'Neill isn't taking any chances. Off comes Lafferty and on comes Conor Washington.

It has been all Slovakia so far this second half. They have another pop at goal with Juraj Kucka's shot from the edge of the box rocketing past the post.
