    Bournemouth 0-2 Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic steps up to take it, it's well-hit, it's on target, but Artur Boruc claws it away with one hand.

That's a shot on target, but he still hasn't had a touch in the penalty area.

    Bournemouth 0-2 Man Utd

Manchester United have a free-kick in a great position as Andrew Surman brings down Anthony Martial just outside the area. Who's going to take it?

GOAL - Bournemouth 0-2 Man Utdpublished at 59 mins

    Wayne Rooney

Anthony Martial gets an assist for one of the worst shots of the season. Antonio Valencia crosses to Martial, who hits his shot into the ground and it's going wide before it bounces right in front of Wayne Rooney to head home from close range.

Surely game over now, Bournemouth don't look like scoring once, let alone twice.

It would be fair to say, opinion only moving in one direction re Rooney and the recent penalty appeal...

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Jordon Ibe finds Callum Wilson, who doesn't look the same player he did early last season before his bad knee injury, and the striker dawdles on the ball and gets crowded out.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

A decent spell for Bournemouth after all the United pressure, which saw Jordon Ibe have a shot blocked for a corner, ends when Lewis Cook runs himself into trouble and loses possession.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 52 mins

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Manchester United want a penalty as Zlatan Ibrahimovic squares it to Wayne Rooney, who goes down after Andrew Surman appears to breathe on his back.

Looked a dive on first replay.

  8. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Artur Boruc makes his first big save of the game for Bournemouth. Wayne Rooney latches onto a Zlatan Ibrahimovic ball and barges Steve Cook out of the way but shoots right at the Pole.

    Should be 2-0.

Joshua King is down in agony after getting a clattering from Eric Bailly, who had escaped punishment. The new United defender does seem to be a bit rash in the challenge, despite playing well overall.

  11. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who hasn't had a touch in the Cherries penalty area so far, applauds an overhit cross to him.

I'm not sure he'll be doing that once he settles in.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

We are under way in the second half at the Vitality. No changes for either side.

    Shearer's birthday present

Gary Lineker may have hogged the limelight last night on Match of the Day with his Leicester boxers - but he gave Alan Shearer a pair of his own for his 46th birthday, just in case Newcastle were to win the league in the future...

No histrionics from Jose Mourinho to follow Manchester United's first Premier League goal under his charge.

He merely turned in his technical area and looked for one of the red drinks bottles to take a swig before having a quick word with Daley Blind.

There was some expression before the break though. Mourinho yelled at both Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to make sure the space from which a dangerous cross could be played into the box during a Bournemouth attack was filled.

Yes, you sort of get the sense that United fans need to work out what they want.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson had eight touches in that half - fewer than anyone else on the pitch, including the goalkeepers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has only had 19 touches.

Cherries defender Simon Francis has the most with 50 - unfortunately at least two of them were key in Juan Mata's goal.
