Sunderland's Paddy McNair gifted Man City an own goal on Saturday.
Bournemouth 0-1 Man Utd
That is Juan Mata's first Premier League goal under Jose Mourinho, the man who sold him to Manchester United from Chelsea.
Last Sunday, Mata was subbed on and then brought off half an hour later in the Community Shield against Leicester.

A week is a long time in football...
An absolute catastrophe from Simon Francis costs Bournemouth and Manchester United lead.
Francis plays a woeful backpass to Artur Boruc, which Juan Mata latches onto. Boruc saves the stabbed effort but the rebound then comes off the unfortunate Francis and into Mata's path to tap into an empty net.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United go down the right but Antonio Valencia, still inexplicably at right-back in an expensively assembled team, doesn't want to cross it and he pulls it back to Ander Herrera, whose cross is totally overhit.

A slightly negative feel to your musings so far, but I can't disagree.

Considering Eric Bailly had played only 40 La Liga games before Manchester United paid £30m for him this summer, he is showing a lot of maturity.
The Ivorian is not trying anything complicated, makes his tackles when required and moves the ball on quickly when he gets it.
Given the star names that have been added to United's squad this summer, Bailly won't get much attention but he can be very pleased with his first Premier League appearance so far.

Luke Harrison-Darby: Not a Man Utd fan but if I was I would be concerned, all that money spent and they are playing a lot like last season.
Ash Williams: There's no Mourinho stamp on the United style of play yet. Dull and replicating LVG.
King Henrikh: I have followed Henrikh Mkhitaryan for a while now and I can tell you he will come into this United side and completely change the team.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Wayne Rooney plays a risky backpass about 40 yards out to David de Gea, it had a lot of pace on it - quite ridiculous really - but luckily for him the Spanish keeper is good enough to control and clear.
Now Cherries midfielder Harry Arter pops a shot over from distance.
This is Gary Lineker's view of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's clash of heads with Simon Francis earlier.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United are starting to get control of this game but Juan Mata's corner is easily held by Artur Boruc.

Quick on the draw...
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
First shot on target of the match. Antonio Valencia pulls it back to Juan Mata, who squares it to Wayne Rooney but the captain's shot from the edge of the box is easily held by Artur Boruc.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has the first proper chance of the game, he cuts in from the left and lashes a wild shot well wide of Artur Boruc's far post.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Almost halfway through the first half and there has been one shot in this game. That's come from Bournemouth - and it was blocked.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Juan Mata loses possession, leading to Bournemouth having possession for about 30 seconds or more. But they do nowt with it and Marouane Fellaini wins the ball for the Red Devils.

Not convinced this is the majority view...

The tight nature of the Vitality Stadium means the technical area ends no more than two feet from the touchline. Eddie Howe and Jose Mourinho are both on their feet. Howe is wearing tracksuit bottoms and a training shirt, Mourinho has gone for the full suit and tie combo. Another difference is that Howe has been making notes. Mourinho, largely, has had his hands in his pockets.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
If Manchester United fans were expecting a dramatic change to their play, I'd say they'd be disappointed. They haven't got going yet.
But Jose Mourinho did warn last week that it would take a while to get the players used to a new philosophy after two seasons under Louis van Gaal. In fact he said it might be easier to sign 20 new players...
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Callum Wilson clips Daley Blind on the back of the ankles and the referee blows the whistle for a free out. Wilson shoots anyway but hits the post. Doesn't get a yellow card for it though.
Bournemouth 0-0 Man Utd
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is caught offside now, but his influence on the game is growing.
