Rian Hoskins: With Kante in the team, the rest of the Chelsea team feel more confident to win the ball back early and take attacking risks.

The penalties I've seen given, it's becoming a farce. Mike Dean has gone to the extreme of giving those penalties.

I think what we are going to see is the attacker will throw himself to the floor even more.

You have to credit his manager, because he has him switched on. When he is in the mood he is as good as anyone. I think Hazard is just a bit below Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo and can go up into that area. Conte is getting a reaction from his players, and certainly from Hazard.

The disappointing thing for West Ham is going out of Europe in midweek.

That stadium was built for Europe and that was a terrible result.

The injuries have killed them. Dimitri Payet and Ryan Cresswell would probably have been in the England squad if he had been fit.

There could be some history made today.

Kane Wilson is on the bench for West Brom. He is aged 16 years, five months and 17 days and if he comes on, he will be the first player born this Millennium to play in the Premier League.

    I feel so old.

Daily Telegraph chief football correspondent Jason Burt: "Ronald Koeman said there was no interest. The loan fee and wages would have to come down for Everton to be interested. That's what a lot of clubs will be thinking.

"Joe Hart will be thinking 'why have City left it so late? There's not enough time to sort out my future' but there was always a chance Pep Guardiola would replace him. He's been clear and decisive on the issue. Hart must have been aware of it."

It feels to me like getting punched in the nose and someone offering to take you to hospital. City have tried to help.

I'd want to play but where is there to go? Where can he go? That's the big thing.

    Torino? I'm not sure.

Does Joe Hart go to Sunderland? We want him to be playing and I don't think it is healthy if he stays at Manchester City. People will be sitting back in the transfer market. I think there is a game of poker going on and I think Everton might be the one to take him.

  17. 'Too much emphasis on England captain'published at 12:35 British Summer Time 28 August 2016

    Robbie Savage
    Ex-Wales midfielder on MOTD Extra

There's too much emphasis in the England team on the captain.

Look at Wales. Aaron Ramsey was the captain and then Chris Coleman came in and said 'concentrate on your game' and made Ashley Williams captain. Not many people outside Wales knew that had happened.

There's too much emphasis on the England captain. It's nonsense.

Daily Telegraph chief football correspondent Jason Burt: "It sends out the wrong message for Sam Allardyce to pick John Terry for England.

"Sam has been very dipolmatic by not ruling out picking him completely.

"There's enough talent out there without going back. I don't think he'll be in the squad - that ship has sailed."
