The West Brom players are back out, the Middlesbrough lot take a little while longer but here they come now. Should be back under way any minute.

Alvaro Negredo had fewer touches than any other outfield player in the first half (14).  

He hasn't had much to work with. For all of Middlesbrough possession, they have rarely troubled the West Brom defence.

Middlesbrough finished that half dominating possession, but it was West Brom who had more chances on goal. In fact, the Baggies have had more shots in this half (10) than in both of their previous first halves combined (8). If the first 45 minutes of this game have been dull...

Brendan Galloway fizzes a cross into the area for Salomon Rondon, but he tumbles to the ground under a challenge, was his shirt pulled? Nothing given.

Then the Baggies striker just fails to connect with a corner that runs through to him at the far post.

Lots of passing around in midfield going on, not a lot of inspiration in the final third. If you have ever seen an episode of The Simpsons where they portray a football match as two players passing it to each other, that's this game. Surely even the players themselves must be bored?

Loveof Football: Middlesbrough having all the ball West Brom are setting up at home like the team that just got promoted into the PL

Brendan Galloway, making his first appearance in the Premier League since December last year, registers the first shot of the game, but its a tame one, straight at Middlesbrough keeper Brad Guzan.

The on-loan Everton man has been one of the brighter players so far.

Plenty of people expected this game to be boring, but I wouldn't have it when I came into work this morning. I was confident it would take us all by surprise.

Well, I'm sorry to report that so far it has been duller than an afternoon spent watching Last of the Summer Wine re-runs at the grandparents' house.

Once today's Premier League programme is over, thoughts will turn to international football.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is off to join Roberto Martinez's Belgium squad. That's right - Roberto Martinez, who is the new Belgium coach.

He almost has the chance to get in the away side's first shot on target, but he is dispossessed by Gareth McAuley just outside the box.

James McClean is looking the most likely to score at the moment. He is in the thick of things again as a looping cross from Craig Dawson finds him at the far post, but McClean can't get any pace behind his header and it is an easy save for Brad Guzan.
