GOAL - Man City 2-1 West Hampublished at 57 mins

    Michail Antonio

Hold on. We've got a game on our hands. Arthur Masuaku (who has been risking a red card for the past 40 minutes) digs out a peach of a cross after foxing Pablo Zabaleta and Michail Antonio is there at the back post to nod in. Caballero was in no-man's land.

Pep is not a happy chap. He swings his arms in rage before swinging a wild, shiny-shoed foot through the air. Someone is going to get the hairdryer.

The pass was timed to perfection and he timed his run to perfection. It should have been 3-0.

    Man City 2-0 West Ham

The flag saves West Ham again as Sergio Aguero is dragged back after darting through to collect a ball behind the Hammers defence. Replays show he was just on.

Chris Mitchell: All we want is consistent refereeing. Shocking decision not to send the West Ham left back off. Another ref. Another bottle job

Ollie Bell: Did you watch any football last season Steve Smith?Think the money = success theory was put to bed. Believe the hype

West Ham have had a shot on target. Enner Valencia brings the ball down on the right side of the box but his low effort lacks power and is easily saved by big Willy.

Everything but the finish. Sergio Aguero twists and turns into the box before opening his body up and looping a harmless shot past the far post. All City again this half.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 51 mins

    Man City 2-0 West Ham

Arthur Masuaku is on his very last warning for another clumsy foul. Mark Noble gets involved and is booked for a bit of unnecessary chat.

From the resulting free-kick, the ball is headed clear and then fired just past the post from Nolito.

This will be Arthur Masuaka's last opportunity. One more foul and I believe he will get a second yellow card and get sent off. Every time Sterling has got the ball he has the beating of him.

I think that booking for Mark Noble is nonsense. He called the captain over and invited him to speak. I don't know what was said but he is going to be emotional and have his say and then gets booked.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 49 mins

    Man City 2-0 West Ham

I don't think this is what Guardiola has in mind when he says he wants a footballing keeper. Willy Caballero gets in trouble turning away from a harrying West Ham forward and has to poke the ball away before Ashley Fletcher can pounce. The striker catches the keeper and is booked.

The ball is in the net but the flag is up to rule out Nolito's finish. He definitely was offside as well.

West Ham breath a sigh of relief. That would have been game over... if it wasn't already.

It's a 5-4-1 now for West Ham and Michail Antonio will go in support of Ashley Fletcher, who has been so isolated.

Steve Smith: its not rocket science that any team who spends obscene amounts of money SHOULD outplay lesser spenders!

Alex Greenhill: City playing the most attractive, possession-based football since Ferguson-era Utd. Excellent to watch with & without the ball

Surely that's not a knife out for Bilic? This may not be his finest hour but I think he's got enough credit in the bank. Plus, he's had some stinking luck with injuries.

G S Webster: As it has already been decided who will win the league after 3 games, anyone care to tell me who will win the Champions league.

Tony Sheehan: ok, stop drooling over Man City. Yes they look good but that's because West Ham look appalling.

Paul Gibbens: Is Aguero even playing? He's been non-existent in the 1st half.

Man City have been brilliant, the way they have moved the ball, the goals. They have been in total control.

Everybody looks confident, everybody wants the ball and players are buying into what Pep Guardiola wants.

The half-time whistle angers Nolito, who looked to be away down the left. Not to worry, Nolly, your team are teaching West Ham a lesson. And that lesson is 'We're much better than you'.
