The Sunderland fans have made up a chant to the tune of Stone Roses' 'Made of Stone' for Adnan Januzaz - "Sometimeeess IIIIIIIII, Januzaajjj!" - and it is being played out over the tannoy system.

I reckon the Stone Roses are played at 55% of all English football grounds.

Sunderland boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "Everton are now one of the big boys with the spending power they have got. I know a lot of the players and we need to make it as hard as possible for them. The encouraging thing for us is that we have been in all the games we have played."

On not starting new £13.6m signing Didier Ndong: "No, I wasn't tempted at all [to start him] because he only came in late last Thursday or Friday. He trained with us yesterday. It's a chance for him to see what the speed of the Premier League like."

We asked supporters of Premier League and Scottish Premiership clubs to use BBC Sport's team selector to tell us whether they were satisfied with their squad, via a simple tick or cross for each position.

    The results are in.

At Sunderland, not a single position scored above 80%. Only 24% were happy with the goalkeeping options. (Although some of those were cast before the signing of Mika).

Only Everton's left-back position scored above 90% approval and fans identified major concerns at either end of the pitch.

    Sunderland v Everton (20:00 BST)

Everton boss Ronald Koeman, speaking to Sky Sports: "Our start to the season is OK. We know it's a good start but we'd like to continue that after the international break. Sunderland are in a difficult situation because they need to win. What we need to do is play to our level and we will have a chance to win."

On Romelu Lukaku: "He has not scored for us this season but maybe those two goals on international duty will give him a boost."

    Sunderland v Everton (20:00 BST)

It could be a good time to play Sunderland - The Black Cats haven't won any of their last 22 Premier League matches contested in either August or September (D9 L13), last beating Wigan in September 2012.

    Slow starters.

Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman could be the first Everton manager since Thomas McIntosh in 1919 to win his first two away games in charge.

Look at David Moyes' record at Everton. In the last eight seasons he was there I think they finished in the top six seven times. He was punching above his weight. With the platform and foundations Moyes built for Roberto Martinez, Everton went backwards last season.

Jermain Defoe has scored twice in Sunderland's three games so far, and they need him to keep finding the net after Fabio Borini was ruled out for three months with a groin injury.

Defoe's record since returning to England from Toronto has been superb. He has scored 21 Premier League goals in 48 starts for a largely struggling Sunderland.

He is now 10th in the all-time list with 145 goals - one behind Teddy Sheringham.

Everton's main line of business on transfer deadline day was the ultimately failed pursuit of Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who instead chose to join Tottenham.

They did add West Ham forward Enner Valencia on loan though.

Ronald Koeman got the rest of his business done early, and in adding Ashley Williams, Yannick Bolasie, Maarten Stekelenburg and Idrissa Gueye he looks to have done some smart business.

A win tonight - a big win - could send them second.
