Again, a lack of concentration and communication from Leicester. They all looked lost. You still have to be professional and that wasn’t the case.

Liverpool just carved them to shreds. You can’t really complain at that scoreline, the Reds have been far superior to the Blues today.

Leicester City, the perennial counter attackers, have been schooled in the art.

Jordan Henderson plays a ball down the left channel and Kasper Schmeichel races out, only for Sadio Mane to push it around him.

Mane rolls it across to Roberto Firmino inside the area and he finishes into an empty net.

    Nice, tidy stuff from Liverpool.

Sadio Mane plays in Roberto Firmino down the right and then gets a return pass.

Mane's first touch drives him through the Leicester defence and into the area, but his shot is against the body of Kasper Schmeichel.

Simon Mignolet receives medical attentionImage source, Reuters

Simon Mignolet has been in the wars. Not content with a nose bleed, the Liverpool keeper has now got a cut above his right eye following an aerial challenge from Jamie Vardy.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 84 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Robert Huth, having already made Simon Mignolet wear tissue up his nose, is booked for a tussle with Nathaniel Clyne in the Liverpool area.

One for cumulative fouls that. I didn't see him do it, but I imagine referee Craig Pawson would have pointed theatrically at different parts of the pitch to illustrate that.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 80 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Philippe Coutinho came on for Georginio Wijnaldum for Liverpool as part of that earlier substitution.

    Apologies - I missed it.

  9. 'Impressive Liverpool'published at 19:07 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

    Matt Elliott
Former Leicester City captain at Anfield for BBC Radio Leicester

Generally Liverpool have been impressive, although they make their lives difficult for themselves at times.

Leicester haven't had that spark. People will talk about N'Golo Kante, but it's early in the season.

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Jordan Henderson should have signed off on this one.

Roberto Firmino puts Adam Lallana to the left byline and he cuts back to Henderson, 12 yards out, but he splurges it over.

  11. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Ahmed Musa drops a cross in from the left side and Jamie Vardy meets it well, using his head to direct the ball at a satisfying angle, but it ends up straight at Simon Mignolet.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Liverpool's first substitution sees Kevin Stewart come on for Daniel Sturridge.

  13. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

This ain't over. Riyad Mahrez's corner drifts all the way to the far corner of the area and Danny Drinkwater meets it first time with a shot that deflects wide.

The next corner s played short and comes in - Daniel Amartey nudges wide.

  14. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Liverpool deal with a long throw from Leicester but Luis Hernandez gets in a cross from deep. Robert Huth meets it - it seems to hit his back - and it trickles just wude.

There's now more people tweeting about Jurgen Klopps' glasses than the actual match. I have no proof of that. But that's how it feels. Keep them coming at #savejurgensglasses.

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

    Matt Elliott
Former Leicester City captain at Anfield for BBC Radio Leicester

Leicester need to up the ante a little bit and go for broke, there's no point just seeing it out now.

  17. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Leonardo Ulloa straight into the action as he gets to the by-line and cuts back but fails to find a team-mate.

At the other end, Roberto Firmino slips in Georginio Wijnaldum, but Kasper Schmeichel is out quickly to save - the linesman says it was offside, although that looks the wrong decision.

This is Ulloa's chance because Islam Slimani is probably going to come in and take his place.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 68 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Leonardo Ulloa comes on for Marc Albrighton, meaning Ahmed Musa will switch to the left for Leicester. That's their final change.

  20. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Liverpool 3-1 Leicester City

Leicester are just showing a few signs they're not done with this yet.

There's more urgency, more zip. And Claudio Ranieri is up and barking at his side.
