Right, then. Almost time to go. Wayne Rooney and his Manchester United cohorts are eager to go. They're lined up in the tunnel a good few minutes before Watford emerge from the changing room.

Watford skipper Troy Deeney holds a nipper with 'Uncle 9' on the back of his/her shirt in one hand, then shakes Rooney's hand with the other. The kid also has a moustache dummy. Quality.

Shaun, Harrogate: Anyone else think this is a big game for Jose? A 3rd loss in a row and all the negativity of last season starts to rear its ugly head.

Big Sam is in the house. He'll be keeping a beady eye on Manchester United quartet Wayne Rooney, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford, while Watford skipper Troy Deeney will also be trying to impress.

The England manager looks pretty relaxed as he sits in the posh seats at Vicarage Road next to a lady who may, or may not, be Mrs Big Sam. On the other side is a Watford favourite of yore, Kenny Jackett.

Kevin Southernwood: Can't understand dropping Blind - I'm not saying he's a better centre half than Smalling. However Scholes was right when he said Pogba needs a ball winning midfielder, who can read the game and for the likes of Martial and Rashford can play the ball inch perfect. Blind is made for the role, Mourinho needs to look past LVGs wasted use of Blind - would be a great shield for the CBs also!!

Here's one for the fact fans. Watford's last win against Manchester United came on 16 September...1986! I was barely out of nappies. In fact, it was that long ago that former Wales striker Iwan Roberts scored his first senior goal in a 1-0 victory at Vicarage Road.

Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland (16:30 BST)

It has been a grizzly week for both clubs. Wembley woe for Spurs ripped their Champions League dreams. Playing there will inspire the opposition, as it did when Arsenal tried the same experiment.

Sunderland's home hammering by Everton rang alarm bells. They were unlucky to lose at Manchester City on the opening weekend. Since then they've been poor.

I saw them capitulate 5-1 at the Lane in April 2014. They looked doomed that night but somehow stayed up. They might need another great escape.

If Tottenham repeat their Stoke form, they should make it 14 home Premier League wins in 16 against the Black Cats.

Is KDB one of the world's best?

James in Warminster: KDB is a delight to watch, only if he carries on this form for most of the season can he be on the table next to Messi though... That is coming from a city supporter!

    Southampton v Swansea (14:15 BST)

Southampton fans are in for plenty of blank Saturdays over the next couple of months, as this is the first of seven Sunday Premier League fixtures in a row for the Saints.

Thursday's Europa League victory over Sparta Prague was the perfect result as Southampton look for their first domestic win.

Swansea arrive in Hampshire with Leroy Fer in impressive goalscoring form, but they haven't won in the Premier League since the opening weekend.

I was at this fixture last season for Match of the Day, almost a year ago, when Southampton were impressive 3-1 winners. It should be a lot closer this time.

Crystal Palace v Stoke (14:15 BST)

    Simon Brotherton

Crystal Palace are looking to win successive league matches for the first time since Christmas at the expense of bottom-of-the-table Stoke, who haven't strung together a good 90 minutes yet.

Last weekend's 2-1 win at Middlesbrough was much needed for Alan Pardew's side, who hadn't won on the road at all in the league since the turn of the year. They'll be hoping Stoke's slow start to the season continues for at least another week.

Mark Hughes looks decidedly disgruntled at the moment with pretty much everything, be it refereeing decisions, an FA misconduct charge or indeed most importantly, results.

There's no reason to panic though; Stoke didn't win any of their opening half dozen matches last season, yet still finished ninth.

These two teams go into this one on the back of contrasting emotions.

While Manchester United are digesting a derby defeat and a lacklustre Europa League loss, Watford finally created some positive headlines under Walter Mazzarri by beating West Ham.

The new head coach is still searching for the right formula, having already used 22 players in the league this season, but the importance of his first win and the manner of it cannot be underestimated.

He'll know his opposite number will be demanding a reaction at Vicarage Road.

Rightly or wrongly, Jose Mourinho left nobody in any doubt of his opinions., externalIf his desire to win the league in his first season is to be achieved, this is a fixture United have to be winning.

Both sets of players have sauntered out of the Vicarage Road tunnel for their pre-match limber up. Watford's boys head out into a grey Hertfordshire day first, before Wayne Rooney rounds up his troops and leads them out moments later. I'd like to tell you about something really interesting that is happening in the warm-ups. But there isn't anything.

Jose Mourinho and Walter Mazzarri used to have a bit of beef, as the kids say. Former Inter Milan manager Mourinho once claimed of Mazzarri that “beating me is the most important thing in his career".

But everything seems to be cordial again between the two managers. They're having a chinwag by the tunnel. Perhaps Mazzarri is after a few London restaurant tips from the former Chelsea manager.
