Ten crosses, five key passes and four shots by Son Heung-min in that first half.

    He's been the standout player.

Carl Bunting, on Sunderland's kit: Reminds me of the penny chews we used to get from the van with our pocket money

Ian Funnell: Spurs really missing Eriksen today. On for Sissoko at half time

Ash Williams: Januzaj is not what Sunderland need. He's so lazy and lightweight. Always looks like he pulls out of tackle

Spurs had 19 shots in the first half - six on target, eight off target, five blocked.

Sunderland had three shots - two of them on target.

Anyway, back to that Sunderland kit...

I have no idea how that is goalless.

Even Sunderland could have two goals and they've been in the opposition area twice.

Won't get a better chance all season, six yards out, Januzaj does brilliantly to get the ball across, but Pienaar knows what a chance that was.

Sunderland should be 1-0 up. Didn't think I'd type that.

Didier Ndong's low cross falls to Adnan Januzaj who gets to the byeline and cuts back to Steven Pienaar. Hugo Lloris is out of the picture but, from five yards out, Pienaar's shot is cleared off the line by Kyle Walker.

Great defending by the England full-back.

The corner causes problems for Papy Djilobodji, who swings a boot at it, misses, and almost puts it into his own net with his standing foot.

The next corner drops to Mousa Dembele, whose shot deflects over.

And the next corner meets the head of Moussa Sissoko, and that's deflected over.

    How have Spurs not scored?

That all came from Januzaj and his feeble challenge in midfield, someone needs to get hold of him and tell him not to do that again, but I haven't seen anyone do that.

    Tottenham 0-0 Sunderland

The game has drifted away a bit in the last few minutes. Sunderland seem to have got through the worst of the Spurs pressure.

Just as I say that, Son Heung-min, the best player on the field today, drives in off the left flank and whips a left-footed effort against the outside of the near post.

To echo Steve Claridge's comment below, Adnan Januzaj doesn't bother tracking back at all.

Januzaj's body language is so languid, when he loses the ball there's no urgency to get it back.

Moussa Sissoko, on his first Spurs start, is down in pain.

He was caught by Papy Djilobodji who was stretching for the ball after a loose touch.

Yes, I may have said away kit earlier. They're away from home, it's a kit... the actual away kit is green if I recall, Sunderland fans?

Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford looks the best Sunderland player on the park - and not just because he's the only one not wearing the pink-purple third kit.

The 22-year-old plucks a Jan Vertonghen cross from deep out of the air.

At the other end, Didier Ndong and Lee Cattermole combine well for Sunderland - but it comes to nothing.

Sunderland are playing a higher line, getting more people into the Spurs half but let's not overcook this, they don't look like scoring yet.
