Dylan McGeough is filling it at right-back as Hibs play on with 10 men. It looks like David Gray is unable to continue. 

Martin Boyle is getting ready to come on. He's more of a winger but has played the wing-back role before.

A storming run from David Gray out of defensive and he wins his team a free-kick deep in enemy territory. Fantastic drive from the captain but he's landed awkwardly after being fouled and looks to have damaged his shoulder.

Get the magic sponge on that injury. Hibs need the right-back in this sort of form.

An acrobatic scissor-kick from Jamie Walker from Callum Paterson's cross, but it cracks off the crossbar and Birkirkara clear.

Another Dylan McGeough corner but this time it's emphatically cleared by the hosts, who quickly spring a counter-attack. Marvin Bartley is there to mop up but Brondby come again and a low strike from Crone whistles narrowly wide.

Stung by that goal, Brondby threaten for the first time since the interval with Phiri driving a shot narrowly wide from 20 yards.

A couple of shaky moments for Liam Smith, with the young Hearts full-back twice conceding possession and allowing Dimitrov Srdan time and space to deliver crosses into the penalty area. Hearts have momentarily lost their control of the game.

The home fans are getting restless as Hibs enjoy more possession and win more of the 50-50s in midfield. This is a good spell for Neil Lennon's men, can they make it count?

Hibs are committing more men forward as a tame looping header from John McGinn sails into the goalkeeper's arms.

John McGinn does well to turn near the byline and lofts in a lovely cross for David Gray to meet with a firm header. The Hibs skipper has time to pick his spot but sends the ball high over the crossbar from 12 yards.

Early scare for Hearts, with goalkeeper Jack Hamilton having to block at close range on his line after a cross was sent deep into the penalty area and a Birkirkara foot prodded the ball on target.

And we're off again in Denmark...

If Hearts get past Birkirkara, they will face a trip to Russia to play FC Krasnodar.

They should not be confused with city rivals FC Kuban Krasnodar, who knocked out Motherwell 3-0 on aggregate in 2013 Europa League qualifiers.

Krasnodar finished fourth in the Premier League and won all of their Europa League group stage home games last season.
