    Club Brugge 0-1 Leicester

Jamie Vardy gets the ball in the middle of the Club Brugge half, gets his head down and charges forward. The hosts retreat, and Vardy sniffs an opportunity, getting to the edge of the box before a well-timed tackle by Timmy Simons stops the Leicester City striker in his tracks.

Simons, at 39, is the oldest player in Champions League action tonight, but there's still plenty of life in those old legs.

That is a learning curve for these Spurs players, they are dominating the game, in control but one loose pass and you are behind. That is a clinical strike. Lloris had no chance

    Man City 1-0 Borussia Monchengladbach

It's looking like it could be a long night for Borussia Monchengladbach, a side who only suffered defeat twice in six matches against Pep Guardiola during his Bayern Munich stint.

Manchester City are a yard or two quicker just now and they should, in theory at least, have the experience to get this done. City's starting XI boasts 285 Champions League starts. Borussia's XI just 79.

    Bernardo Silva

Well, who saw that coming? Monaco had barely been in the game but in the glimpse of an eye Spurs fall behind. Erik Lamela loses the ball in a dangerous area, Bernardo Silva picks it up and with limited options ahead of him the number 10 elects to just bend a left-footed shot into the corner from 16 yards.

A peach of a hit. But very tame from a Spurs point of view.

    Tottenham 0-0 Monaco

Spurs are causing Monaco all manner of problems down their right-hand side. Harry Kane gets free for a second time, looks up and finds Erik Lamela 15 yards out. His touch is not great, his shot is blocked and Dele Alli can't smuggle it in.

    Man City 1-0 Borussia Monchengladbach

It's almost a second for Manchester City as Kevin de Bruyne's low cross finds Sergio Aguero, who in turn picks out Ilkay Gundogan unmarked in the middle of the area. He shoots, but his shot is saved.

All City at the moment. The smattering of away fans are probably wishing they had just gone home after yesterday's postponement.

    Club Brugge 0-1 Leicester

Club Brugge seem a bit rattled by that early Leicester goal and they are still struggling to regroup as Leicester have them pegged back on the edge of their own box. The Foxes ping in a flurry of crosses that the hosts struggle to deal with, but eventually clear.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

It is a gloriously warm late summer's night here at Wembley. Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim started off wearing a dark jacket but that did not last long while Mauricio Pochettino has also gone for the casual look.

Perfect conditions for players, managers and supporters. Crackling atmosphere inside Wembley already.

  10. CLOSE!published at 8 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Monaco

Spurs should be ahead! Son Heung-min scored two fine goals at the weekend and he should have one here, a ball from the right fizzes across the box to him on the left edge, he does everything right by sending a low shot past keeper Danijel Subasic but Kamil Glik is perfectly placed to clear from on the line.

    Good start from Spurs.

    Sergio Aguero

So far so good for the British sides in action tonight as Manchester City take the lead with the first real chance of the game.

Sergio Aguero is the man who bags, poking in Aleksander Kolarov's cross at the near post.

Bizzare injury for Monaco. Nabil Dirar goes down off the ball, nobody near him, and he has to come off.

    Marc Albrighton

    Wow!

What a moment for Leicester. Moments after almost falling behind they take the lead. Luis Hernandez launches one heck of a long throw into the box, Han Vanaken heads it over his own keeper's hands and Marc Albrighton is there to tap in at the far post.

    The fairytale continues!

  14. CLOSE!published at 3 mins

    Club Brugge 0-0 Leicester

Club Brugge may have been happy to let Leicester pass the ball about, but as soon as they steal possession they charge forward. Wes Morgan is caught out by the pace of the attack as Han Vanaken wipes him out with a neat pass to Jose Izquierdo, who shoots from just outside the area but is just wide.

Harry Kane's first touch is top class, a cushioned pass around the corner to send Kyle Walker bombing forwards. He blasts in a low cross but it's well cleared.

    Mark Schwarzer

I think Club Brugge will give them their space at the moment but I am sure they will have to come at them eventually. If they let Leicester play their game, they will hurt Club Brugge on the counter.

    Club Brugge 0-0 Leicester

Danny Drinkwater knocks the ball wide to Ryad Mahrez just inside the Leicester half as Club Brugge sit back in the early stages, seemingly content to let the Leicester players pass the ball about for now.

Wembley is looking fine on this Wednesday evening, white shirts as far as you look. Like an England game, but with an atmosphere.

All looking and sounding good for Spurs so far. Monaco are in a very smart all-black kit.

It's a historic night for Leicester City. They have just heard the Champions League anthem played for them for the first time. The Leicester City fans were celebrating that music like they had scored a goal.
