England fail to win a qualifier for the first time in 15 attempts. That does not tell the whole story though. For a large period of that game England were hanging on. Joe Hart was excellent.

Gary Cahill rather dives in, he gets booked and he's furious with the reaction of the Slovenia players, who wanted a red card!
Cahill took the ball with one foot but he did catch his man heavily on his follow-through. It was not the best tackle and then there is a right scuffle with Jesse Lingard seeing yellow too.
An ugly end to a scruffy old night.
