England's front four may well be the key today.

Dele Alli, Adam Lallana, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane have the ability and the potential to cause damage against most teams - when at their best.

Scotland think they can spring a surprise. Hampden is a great stadium, it will be noisy, no doubt about that, the England players could well be intimidated.

Scotland played well in the 3-0 defeat in November. Scotland pressed England high at Wembley, England tried to play out from the back and they got caught and I don't think that will happen at Hampden. I expect England to go more direct. If England keep their heads they should win.

Just over half an hour to go until kick-off then and Hampden is filling nicely. It is, of course, a total sell-out. Let's hope that the travelling England fans behave themselves.

After all, The Football Association issued lifetime bans to England fans for the first time after two supporters' club members made Nazi gestures in Germany.

March's friendly against the world champions in Dortmund was marred by the behaviour of some fans.

Scotland have not beaten England at home since 1985. Their only victory over the past 31 years was a 1-0 win at Wembley in 1999, which was not enough to overturn a 2-0 first-leg loss in a play-off for the 2000 European Championships.

Remember when England played all of their games away from Wembley? That was superb wasn't it?

Well maybe a similar situation could be brewing north of the border.

The Scottish Football Association's "preferred option" is for the national team to continue to play at Hampden when the lease expires, but the final decision will be based largely on cost.

SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has revealed that the organisation's board is "considering the options" on where Scotland should play from 2020.

"There are financial implications should we choose to stay," he said.

"There may be commercial implications of taking our games elsewhere."

In March, Scotland played Canada in a friendly at Hibernian's Easter Road, but a crowd of a little more than 9,000 attended the match in the capital.

For Scotland's most recent match at Hampden, a World Cup qualifier against Slovenia in Glasgow's south side, the crowd numbered more than 20,000.

"Aaron Hughes comes in for the injured Craig Cathcart in central defence while Josh Magennis and Liam Boyce replace absent forward pair Jamie Ward and Conor Washington. Azerbaijan give a debut to Brazilian-born midfielder Richard Almeida and the influential Rashad Sadygov, who missed the 4-0 defeat by NI last November, will captain the hosts."

"The enthusiasm the players have had and the time they've put in, they're ready for the game, physically and mentally," said Strachan.

The Scots lost 3-0 to England at Wembley in October, but Strachan is convinced his side are well placed to avoid a repeat.

They are some of the fittest, most valuable players in the game expected to perform in high-pressure situations, but could English football's elite cut it in the Royal Marines?

The Three Lions' preparation took a surprise twist last weekend, when manager Gareth Southgate arranged a trip to a Commando Training Centre in Devon.

Twenty England players were taken out of their comfort zones in a 48-hour boot camp designed for marine recruits. "We wanted to come and put the guys into a different environment, something they weren't expecting," Southgate told the FA website.
