I've just seen that Harry Kane chance again - and it was a big one.

He was caught out by Adam Lallana managing to scoop in a cross when it didn't look possible - he was on his heels and couldn't turn it home from close range.

For people who get angry about this sort of thing by the way, Marcus Rashford is taking corners for England.

That's the day over for Gareth McAuley. He's had to come off so Niall McGinn comes on. Presumably a change of shape then.

Definitely slower pace now as England get more and more possession. Jake Livermore is the fulcrum now, seeing plenty of ball from deep.

And that's a chance! England work it patiently, Adam Lallana bursts into the area on the left and puts it across goal, but Harry Kane can't turn it in!

Chance! Eric Dier picks out a peach of a ball over the Scotland defence, Harry Kane does the first part really well, bringing the ball down from an awkward height and past Kieran Tierney in one movement.

It sits up on his left foot, 12 yards out, but he's closed down and can only strike a shot well over the bar. A chance, but good play.

I would already be looking to bring Raheem Sterling on because no one is putting their foot on the ball in the middle of the park.

The "A 1" problem Scotland have got is that they don't have enough bodies in the box.

England are rattled at the back. Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling get in each others' way at a corner and they are lucky not to leave someone free at the far post. Cahill then joins Smalling in shanking a clearance out of touch. Gareth Southgate calls for calm.

Marcus Rashford has obviously been told to stay high up the pitch because he keeps letting them run down that wing.

Scotland are by far the better side so far. This is a derby game and England have got to improve.

Nervous from Chris Smalling as he slices a clearance over his own crossbar. It's full marks for tempo and effort for Scotland so far. They pepper the England box with three crosses but the men in red just about get it away each time.

It's all very well Scotland captain Scott Brown getting the crowd all whipped up by flying into challenges - but it was sheer stupidity to get himself booked inside three minutes.

Must now be careful for 87 minutes and Dele Alli, who he was clearly trying to test out, will know it.
