  3. 'We don't know how good these players are'published at 19:12 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    England v Slovenia (19:45 BST)

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live

When the draw was made we all thought England should stroll through this group and we have. But it's hard to assess where this team is at compared to the stronger teams.

Everyone went into the European Championships excited, thinking we have a brilliant young team but then we get knocked out by Iceland which was a disaster. Until we get to a major tournament we don't know how good some of these players are. The big question mark will be when they come up against the big nations.

Phil Neville, Ian Dennis, Chris Waddle and John Murray are all in position at Wembley.

Coverage has started on 5 live.

Slovenia’s late arrival has obviously had an impact on their warm-up. Only the 10 starting outfield players and the three goalkeepers are warming up at the moment. Where are the subs?

Paul Christie: Actually a fan of his but on what grounds does Oxlade Chamberlain get into this England side?

Paul Lawrence: Don't want to sound harsh but England's midfield has v little creativity or pace. Will qualify and then do nothing.

Ardy: Prediction - Scotland 7 Slovakia 0. Barry Bannan hat-trick. Two each for Fletcher & Morrison.

Northern Ireland v Germany (19:45 BST)

BBC Sport NI's Richard Petrie at Windsor Park: "Tonight's big match in Belfast brings together the two teams with the most frugal defensive records in the European World Cup qualifying series.

"Both sides have conceded just two goals in the eight matches they have played during the campaign so far.

"Northern Ireland's progress under Michael O'Neill has been built on firm defensive foundations - they have not conceded a goal in a home competitive game since beating Greece 3-1 to qualify for Euro 2016 two years ago.

"The men in green have the chance to equal their best ever run of clean sheets in a row tonight. The record of six matches without conceding coming back in 1986 - the last year Northern Ireland qualified for a World Cup."

Will Harry Kane score for England tonight? Can Northern Ireland cause an upset against the world champions? Will Scotland have enough quality to beat Slovakia?

    Let us know your thoughts.

Feeling very underwhelmed. Just know that by the time June comes around Kane, Rashford et al will be mentally & physically knackered from the rigours of the Prem & no winter break, meaning more more under performace & disappointment.

No surprise with the England starting XI.

Raheem Sterling is the natural replacement for the suspended Dele Alli.

Expect England to play in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

I spoke with Harry Kane yesterday and it will be a proud moment for him to lead England out for the first time at Wembley.
