    Northern Ireland 0-2 Germany

Neat work by Germany again, popping the ball around nicely and Northern Ireland cannot get close.

PSG forward Julian Draxler attempts a volley from the edge of the box, but does not catch it too well and it drifts wide.

Gareth Southgate has just got off the bench and walked purposefully into his technical area. He looks like a coach that is far from happy with what he is seeing at the moment.

  3. 'Frightening to watch'published at 20:12 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    Northern Ireland 0-2 Germany

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    BBC Radio 5 live

You don't really silence the crowd at Windsor Park because the Green and White Army continue to sing themselves hoarse despite going 2-0 down after 20 minutes and it could be more.

Germany are frightening to watch though particularly when you consider the players they've got missing tonight. They bristle with attacking intent, Kimmich and Plattenhardt the full-backs are hugging the touchlines and the movement is superb. Most striking though has been the quality of the goals, two world class strikes from Rudy and Wagner.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:11 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    England 0-0 Slovenia

Marcus Rashford is on all set-pieces it seems, his delivery is not great again but England keep the move alive, Jordan Henderson drives in a low curler from the edge of the area and Jan Oblak gets down well to push it away.

That's the best moment yet for the Three Lions.

The final ball has really let England down so far. Their approach play is good at times. Marcus Rashford for example. He shows some good touches, can beat his man, but there is no end product.

Scotland on top, and now a man up. They HAVE to take advantage.

    Well, that escalated quickly.

San Marino are really up against it now and Norway are already leading 3-0 after Bournemouth's Josh King scored a quick brace.

Elsewhere, Tottenham's Christian Eriksen has given Denmark the lead over Montenegro.

Malta are also a goal up against Lithuania.

  8. RED CARD - Robert Mak (Slovakia)published at 20:09 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    A big moment at Hampden!

Robert Mak drives into the penalty area, Craig Gordon comes out and Mak dives blatantly looking for a penalty.

Clever from Gordon to pull his arms away and that's a second yellow for Mak - he's off!

    England 0-0 Slovenia

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender on BBC Radio 5 live at Wembley

There is no rhythm in the England performance. We are not moving the ball quickly and not showing much confidence. Not great so far.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:08 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    Scotland 0-0 Slovakia

And now Scotland go close! Leigh Griffiths pops up on the right wing, bends in a left-footed cross and Christophe Berra heads it down into the turf, the bounce is taking it in - clawed away!

GOAL - Northern Ireland 0-2 Germanypublished at 21 mins

    Sandro Wagner

Book those tickets to Russia, Germany supporters. Your team are heading there next year.

I did say you have to pick him up just a couple of minutes earlier. Northern Ireland do not and are punished.

Big Hoffenheim striker Sandro Wagner collects the ball on the edge of the box and turns Gareth McAuley - who has to get tighter - before striking a vicious left-footed shoot into the net.

That unbeaten record away from home is not going to be overturned tonight.

    England 0-0 Slovenia

Chance! A great ball in from the left finds Roman Bezjak breaking into the England area, but he fluffs a volley and miskicks his attempt totally. That's the best moment so far for Slovenia.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

    Northern Ireland 0-1 Germany

You need to pick this lad up.

Bayern full-back Joshua Kimmich bursts forward down the right and pings in inviting ball into the box.

The Northern Ireland defence cannot get to striker Sandro Wagner, all 6ft 4in of him, as the Hoffenheim man stoops to flick a header towards goal which rattles the post.

Michael McGovern was unmoved and a let off for Michael O'Neill's side.

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on 5 live Sport at Wembley

Eric Dier and Jordan Hederson are simply not creative enough in their roles. They just don't see the runs some of their team-mates are making. All they are thinking about is not giving the ball away.

You can read more on this subject in a special feature with Chris Waddle, Phil Neville and Phil McNulty on the BBC Sport website on Friday.

England fans have not been impressed by what they have seen so far...

Kenny Richardson: England's centre-backs see too much of the ball - I know it's a high line but we need to get the midfield involved more.

Daniel Woodley: England have already used their good luck card up in this game. Joe Hart is extremely lucky not to have conceded a penalty.

Stuart Chaplin: Surely if Roy Hodgson taught us anything, it was that putting one of your strikers on corners is a terrible tactic.

    England 0-0 Slovenia

Seen England play in the last 10 years or so? If so, then this has been as entertaining a 15 minutes as you probably expect.

Zero attacks to report, although that's a devilish cross in from Marcus Rashford which Gary Cahill is close to.

The first glimpse of Harry Kane as he picks the ball up from deep and shoots from 25 yards - bent at Jan Oblak but that's an easy hold. Oblak, who plays for Atletico Madrid, is a top-class keeper.
