What do you reckon to this second half so far Chris?

I can't think of anything to say.

James Forrest rifles a shot well wide as Scotland continue to toil away. Can we get a shot on target in either game?!

The game needs Winks. Henderson isn't creative enough, and Winks has all sorts of ability to dribble and pass.

I thought Rogue One was alright, Olek. It was miles better than an England qualifier anyway.

When was the last time England played genuinely well in a competitive game? I feel like I ask that question quite a lot. Euro 2004?

    Megs x2.

That is the best moment of Conor McLaughlin's career.

Driving down the right, the Millwall full-back pops the ball through the legs of PSG forward Julian Draxler, then does the same to Hertha Berlin full-back Marvin Plattenhardt.

Unfortunately, his cross into the box is straight at goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Olek Preiss: Well, I haven't seen a more lacklustre 45 minutes since I watched Rogue One...

Woaaah. Insulting a Star Wars film is a step too far Olek.

As it stands, with Scotland holding Slovakia, a draw is all that England need to qualify. Maybe Gareth Southgate knows that and is happy with a 0-0?

Norway are now leading 5-0 against San Marino. Yes, FIVE.

Mohamed El Younoussi, who grabbed a goal shortly before the half-time break, has just doubled his tally.

Almost a third for Germany, but Michael McGovern dives full stretch to his left to tip away Thomas Muller's flicked header.

A super stop by the Northern Ireland goalkeeper.

I spotted a fan at half-time who was well lubricated shall we say. Maybe that's the only way to get through an England game?

  13. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 5 October 2017

The first chance of the half comes for the visitors as a ball to the far post is headed on goal by Bojan Jokic and Joe Hart juggles a save, he just about gets away from it though.

Adrian Wyatt: Forget penalties could England first practice corners and free kicks. Dire. (That's dire not Dier!)

Jon Hare: Did ENG not train free kicks from 20m? Third player to try! God knows what will happen if we get a penalty!

Tom Mitchell: Let's scrap new games, just replay the first 30 minutes of the Germany friendly a few years ago. I wasn't bored then.

Dull and uneventful. Marcus Rashford a shaft of light but little service to Harry Kane. Plenty of thinking for Gareth Southgate at half-time because Slovenia have been very comfortable so far.
