    Sergio Aguero

This is an excellent goal and surely the tie is over. Nolito and Sergio Aguero play an excellent 1-2-3 with first-time touches and the Argentine fires home from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

Mark: Not surprised! Saw Steaua a few times last year they were awful each time.

  4. Postpublished at 77 mins

Sergio Aguero forces a great one-handed save from the keeper after Steaua's defence switch off and then Raheem Sterling passes the rebound to David Silva, who fires over. It's very comfortable.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

Manchester City's second change is also at full-back, with Gael Clichy replacing Aleksandar Kolarov. I could probably come on at left-back and they'd be fine.

    Apart from registration issues obviously...

Two quickfire goals have put Borussia Monchengladbach, who finished fourth in last season's Bundesliga, in control at Young Boys. Andre Hahn scored after 67 minutes and Raffael netted his second two minutes later. They are 3-1 up in Switzerland now.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

Manchester City make their first change and it's at right-back as Bacary Sagna, who started against Sunderland, comes on for the booked Pablo Zabaleta.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

Are Steaua just settling for the 3-0 defeat now? Defender Ovidiu Popescu comes on for midfielder Muniru Sulley, who just skied a shot with a near air-kick a few seconds ago.

There's now been at least one goal in all five Champions League play-offs tonight, Valentino Lazaro putting Salzburg ahead at Dinamo Zagreb.

  10. Postpublished at 64 mins

It's hard to read too much tactically with regards to Pep Guardiola in this game as Manchester City won't face many worse sides all season than Steaua Bucharest.

It's almost 4-0 as City break down the right with Kevin de Bruyne, and his cross finds Sergio Aguero, who has a shot with a first-time flick, but it's saved easily by Florin Nita.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

Steaua striker Alexandru Tudorie, who came on at the break, is booked for fouling Pablo Zabaleta.

And now Alin Otsca is shown a yellow card too.

They can surely start planning for the Europa League group stages now, which is where the losers of this tie go.

Swiss side Young Boys are level against Borussia Monchengladbach, with Miralem Sulejmani firing home.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 55 mins

Both of Manchester City's full-backs have been booked now - Aleksandar Kolarov joins Pablo Zabaleta in the yellow card club for clattering Adrian Popa.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 53 mins

Manchester City are absolutely rampant now. Certainly not missing the £100m+ worth of players they have left in England.

Nolito hits the outside of the post while trying to beat Florin Nita at his near stick. This could go on to be a rout.

Sergio Aguero is the latest player to have a shot, kills the ball dead with his first touch and rifles in a shot which goes wide and breaks a camera behind the goal.

  16. goal

    Nolito

Nolito's first goal for Manchester City and this must be game over. The Spaniard passes it to Kevin de Bruyne, who plays a brilliant ball through the defence for the former Celta Vigo man and he just steps around keeper Florin Nita and taps the ball home.

Steaua Bucharest have an early effort in the second half but Nicolae Stanciu, who seems to be the only guy taking shots for them, drags the ball into the side netting.

Osakyna: Raheem is on fire today. Impressive showing so far

Stavros Makrozachopo: With all due respect to Romanian football,i very much doubt this team would avoid relegation if they played in the Premier League.

Liz Tray: How are Manchester City not 6-0 up at half-time? That is a sentence I've never typed in 30+ years of being a blue. I forgive you Serge!
