Well Celtic will be relieved to get to the dressing room just one goal down after spending the best part of half an hour on the back foot. 

The visitors looked to be in control in the opening exchanges, passing the ball confidently without ever really creating anything meaningful in the attacking third. But since Yuri Logvinenko was allowed the freedom to head home unchallenged at a corner, the Scottish champions have been second best.

Celtic really need this half-time whistle. They give the ball away and Junior Kabananga outmuscles Mikael Lustig and goes to the byline, but Craig Gordon cuts out his cross and Nemanja Maksimovic fires the loose ball well wide from 20 yards.

Celtic will be desperate to get to the break with no further damage done so they can regroup. They have lost their way since that opening goal Yuri Logvinenko on 19 minutes. The Scottish champions had looked comfortable up until that point.

Kieran Tierney looks to redeem himself by putting in a cross towards Moussa Dembele but the Frenchman can not get enough purchase on the header and the ball drifts harmlessly away.

Kieran Tierney dives into a challenge but Abzal Beisebekov skips by him and puts a ball across goal for Junior Kabananga but again Craig Gordon comes to the rescue with a decent block.

Tierney is a top talent but Beisebekov is giving him a torrid time so far down the Astana right flank.

Oh Efe! It's another error from Ambrose as he completely misjudges a high ball allowing Azat Nurgaliev to go through but Craig Gordon brilliantly turns his attempted lob round the post.

After a promising start Celtic are rocking here.

Moussa Dembele races into the penalty area and feels he is brought down illegally but the referee is having none of it. 

The match stats show that Celtic have enjoyed 65% possession in the opening 15 minutes. Just what Brendan Rodgers would have wanted. 

Patrick Roberts looks to have shrugged off the effects of that tackle and he shrugs off the challenges of a few Astana defenders as he drives towards goal, feeds Moussa Dembele but his shot is blocked on the edge of the area.

Patrick Roberts does not look to be moving too well following that earlier foul. Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Celtic's injury curse has not struck again.
