    Arsenal 2-0 Basel

Petr Cech is sitting on the substitutes bench, a little smile on his face. He's enjoying what he is seeing. To be honest, he wouldn't be much busier if he was playing. David Ospina has had nothing to do.

Dmitri Poloz is having a cracking night. He has scored his second to restore Rostov's lead against PSV. This time it is a half-volley which he lashes in following a knock-down from Sardar Azmoun.

PSG are level against Ludogorets. Blaise Matuidi with the goal, courtesy of a neat finish following Marco Verratti's pass.

Can Celtic possibly keep this going for 90 minutes? They won't. It's early to say, but the substitutions in this game are going to be big.

Well, well, well, Barcelona are trailing. Thorgan Hazard -  brother of Eden - has given Borussia Monchengladbach the lead in Germany.

Joy for one German side but pain for another. Bayern Munich trail 1-0 in Spain against Atletico Madrid. It is a belting goal as well, scored by Yannick Carrasco courtesy of a low drive.

    Everything is coming up Belgian.

    Arsenal 2-0 Basel

Pass-pass-pass-shoot. Relentless stuff from Arsenal, so much so the ball can't take any more. It's burst.

Still, it offers the Basel players the chance for a much-needed breather.

David Thackeray: Watching in France. The commentator has just said 'this is not Arsenal, this is Brazil' Praise indeed.

    Arsenal 2-0 Basel

There's just so much movement in the Arsenal attack, they are not giving the Basel a moment's respite.

If it is not Alexis Sanchez or Theo Walcott, it is Hector Bellerin on the overlap or Mesut Ozil just poking a shot wide. There's more goals in this game, no doubt.

The deadlock is broken in Turkey as Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma gives Besiktas the lead against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev with a belting 22-yard free-kick. Foot like a traction engine.

    Arsenal 2-0 Basel

When Arsenal are in this mood, they are a joy to watch. They absolutely carve open the Basel defence with a sumptuous sweeping move ends with Alexis Sanchez through on the left but he takes a little too long to shoot and Tomas Vaclik closes down the gap to make the save.

Liam McColgan: This Sanchez and Theo combination is looking lethal. Both in scintillating form. Keep them fit and Arsenal can go places.

Jeremiah Kariuki Raheem Sterling scores again, but for the right team! Very composed. 2-2.

I would argue that Sterling has been the best player on the pitch, bordering on unstoppable. He was brilliant there, so calm. Other players would have just lashed it.

    Raheem Sterling (28 mins)

Goals galore at Celtic Park as Manchester City hit back! It's Raheem Sterling who puts the ball in at the right end of the pitch this time, showing great composure to turn his marker before slotting the ball into the net. Fine finish.

    Theo Walcott (26 mins)

    Theo Walcott is on fire!

Basel were trying to stifle the Arsenal attack by sticking numbers back in defence but when Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott combine like they do here, there's nothing that can be done.

It's a beautiful move as Walcott plays a one-two with Sanchez before the former guides a shot in at the far corner via the bottom of the post. Four goals in three games for the forward.

    Arsenal 1-0 Basel

Arsenal still lead by the one goal as they try to pick their way through a packed Basel defence. Adama Traore backs off a charging Hector Bellerin, inviting the shot. Bellerin goes for it, but his strike deflects off the Basel man.

Paris Saint-Germain, who drew at home with Arsenal in their opening game, are behind to Ludogorets courtesy of Natanael's goal.

Meanwhile, back in Russia, PSV are level with Davy Propper cancelling out Dmitri Poloz's opener for Rostov.

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik has given his side the lead against Portuguese side Benfica.

It's absolutely phenomenal. Celtic are worthy of their lead. Fernandinho dives in, a stupid mistake, but all the credit goes to Tierney. If English Premier League clubs weren't looking at him before, they will be now.

  18. goal

GOAL - Celtic 2-1 Manchester Citypublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 28 September 2016

    Raheem Sterling OG (20 mins)

Celtic are back ahead! To the hosts' credit, they didn't drop back after that equaliser and kept on the offensive and their reward is a second. Good work from Moussa Dembele distracts the defence allowing Tom Rogic to feed Kieran Tierney in space. The youngster shoots and his effort deflects in at the near post off Raheem Sterling and will go down as an own goal.

It's a great game of football. Two teams are willing to attack each other. We wondered if Celtic would sit back. Not a chance. They are giving as good as they get.

    Arsenal 1-0 Basel

It's a full throttle start by Arsenal. They are dominating possession and chances but the visitors have an opportunity from a corner. Luca Zuffi whips it in and Marek Suchy gets his head to it, but he can't get any power behind it and the ball loops harmlessly wide.
