    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

    Chelsea counter at speed.

Diego Costa plucks the ball out of the air and squares it for the on-bombing Wilian.

It is a little too far ahead of the Brazilian, though, who can only toe the ball well wide.

Both teams are giving the ball away. It has been good pressing to allow that but someone needs to put their foot on the ball, use the width and control this game.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea are creaking a little at the back. They look like they are still getting their bearings in this new back three.

Marcos Alonso leaves too much space down the right flank, Robert Snodgrass scampers down the outside and lifts in a cross and Ryan Mason slashes a half volley just wide as the ball drops over an aerial tussle to his feet.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Willian flashes a shot-cum-cross into the six-yard box, but it is wide of the far post and there is no-one gambling enough to get in position to turn it in.

Chelsea have had more of the ball, but it is not clicking for them yet in the final third.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea's Victor Moses in a good spot for a cross on the right flank.

But that is a limp effort, easily cleared.

Another chance. This time he tries to dribble into the box. Andrew Robertson hustles him out of it.

Sam Clucas - signed from Chesterfield for a little over a million - is up against N'Golo Kante - signed from Leicester for 30 times that amount - today.

The Hull midfielder has looked the match of the former Fox so far though.

One delicious volleyed ball forward finds the chest of Dieumerci Mbokani. He is full of confidence.

With Chelsea's formation they only have Kante and Matic in midfield so Hull are just outnumbering them.

Hull have their tactics spot on.

David Luiz does not inspire confidence.

The Brazilain looks lost at sea as Robert Snodgrass's long ball forward flies over his head and into the path of Dieumerci Mbokani.

The Hull striker's first touch is a little heavy though and runs through to the gloves of Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea have lined up three at the back. Conte has gone with it.

That is what he is used to.

With the players he has got, I can see it working.

It looks like Gary Cahill, David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta at the back with Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso pushed on down each flank.

    Brilliant save!

Thibaut Courtois reacts in a flash to claw over Robert Snodgrass's free-kick as it takes a wicked deflection on its way over the top of the wall.

    That was heading in.

    Good from Hull.

Robert Snodgrass picks out Dieumerci Mbokani on the edge of the box with a neat ball into feet and the former Norwich striker wins a free-kick with a deft turn around David Luiz, the Brazilian hauling him to ground.

Eden Hazard gets on the ball in the number 10 role, Diego Costa is bobbing and weaving in front of him, but the Belgian cannot thread a pass through to the Spaniard.

David Luiz's fuzzy-felt mop of hair is bobbing up and down in the middle of the Chelsea huddle, issuing instructions to his team-mate.

Both teams join in a minute's applause before kick-off to mark the life of 13-year-old Tigers fan Megan Pratt who died on Thursday after a long illness.

She was scheduled to be the home side's mascot today.

Hull have lost momentum after a fast start to the season, but a win today could take them motoring up to the top half in a midtable as congested as the Bank Holiday M6.

Chelsea are off the pace-setters - which is never good enough for owner Roman Abramovich - they and manager Conte could do with three points.
