  1. 'Outstanding going forward'published at 11:31 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

Football Focus have an interview with Sadio Mane later on.

Speaking on Facebook just now,, external pundit Dion Dublin described the Senegal international as "illusive".

"You never know where he is on the pitch and then he just crops up at the right time, in the right place to score goals. He can score amazing goals and he can be a liability as well because he never defends. Going forward he is outstanding but he never defends".

    Quite a week in nets...

Deren Ibrahim plans to round off a week he will never forget by guiding Dartford into the FA Cup first round this afternoon.

Ibrahim, 25, conceded the fastest World Cup qualifying goal 8.1 seconds into his Gibraltar debut as Belgium ran out 6-0 winners on Monday.

Instead of facing Belgium's £27m Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke and Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Ibrahim will be up against Nathan Elder and Luke Blewden as National League South Dartford visit Kent neighbours Tonbridge Angels.

"It'll be a bit different for him after facing the likes of Benteke and Hazard," Steve McKimm, manager of Isthmian League Premier Division side Tonbridge Angels told BBC Radio Kent.

    Yes. Yes it is.

    Sheffield United. Bolton. Big enough?

For teams in the 32 FA Cup fourth qualifying round ties this weekend it's a win away from a potential game against a team from Leagues One and Two in the FA Cup first round, and a potential televised game too.

Dion Dublin has said Liverpool have surpassed expectations this year.

"I didn't expect Liverpool to be up there at the start of the season"

"Frightening defenders. Frightening teams." he said on Dan Walker's pre-Football Focus Facebook live.

"They are worrying people that they can actually win the Premier League".

Christmas. A time to eat, drink, exchange gifts and watch football on the telly. It is also a season to be merry and joyous fa la-la (at least that is what the Muppets would have you believe). Not for Jurgen Klopp it isn't. The Liverpool boss has taken one glance at the fixtures handed to his side during the festive period and responded with a resounding bah humbug. And with understandable reason too.

The Reds have less than 48 hours between matches against Manchester City and Sunderland after the games were rescheduled for television coverage - prompting Klopp to ask: "How do you prepare a team for this?"

"I understand tradition - I would never say Boxing Day is not a good idea as I love it and I have absolutely no problem," added the German.

"Everyone is asking why England is not too successful in big tournaments.

"Ask what other big countries are doing at this time - they have their legs on the sofa and are watching English football."

On Friday, Tottenham's Son Heung-min became the first Asian to be named Premier League player of the month.

South Korean forward Son, 24, scored four goals for Spurs in three games in September.

"This is my dream, to get the award," said Son. "I want to get it a second time, a third time."

He added: "When I take the award home, my family will be crazy like you can't believe - they will be really happy."

Jurgen Klopp was named manager of the month after his Liverpool team's 100% record last month, in which they beat champions Leicester, Chelsea and Hull and scored 11 goals.

Tottenham certainly issued a significant statement in thei rcomfortable victory against Manchester City two weeks ago, a result which left them as the only unbeaten side in the Premier League.

The manner in which they outplayed the seemingly unstoppable league leaders had the dual effect of not only reassuring the rest of the division that Pep Guardiola's team are not invincible after all, but equally re-affirming Spurs' own credentials as genuine title contenders.

Having not lost at The Hawthorns on their previous six visits, it would be a major surprise if they did this time around, albeit that the Baggies hit four goals in a home game for the first time in two years when they last played in front of their own fans.

Striker Harry Kane remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

He's been a member of the Shadow Cabinet, he once sent a tweet containing only his name and he is currently strutting his stuff on Strictly Come Dancing. However, taking on Lawro at Premier League predictions is surely his toughest challenge (it's not).

Yes, former Shadow Chancellor and Norwich City chairman Ed Balls is in the guessing seat. If you want to see what he has gone for, have a look here.

You would think if one match was capable of taking place without even a hint of a bust-up it would be Pope Francis' Match for Peace. The clue is in the title.

Things didn't go quite to plan though. Take it away Diego and Juan Sebastian...

This has now put a lot of pressure on next week's Mother Teresa/Tom Hanks Invitational Pro-Am.

    Match of the Day commentator

I'll whisper it very quietly when I'm in the North East on Sunday - at Middlesbrough for 5 live - but, however disappointing, I'm not surprised seeing Sunderland in the nether regions of the table.

The new manager and, always it seems, the fans expected as much.

But I'm shaken by the state Stoke are in. I thought the progress they had made under Mark Hughes, his new signings and the change in the style of play all pointed to a regular position in the top half. Maybe not.

These two sides have conceded more goals than most, but an effort to change that might mean we'll see very few in this game.

Stoke midfielder Joe Allen is a doubt to face Sunderland because of the hamstring problem that caused him to miss Wales' 1-1 draw with Georgia.

Glen Johnson has been ruled out for up to a month with a thigh injury.

Sunderland's Lamine Kone is nursing a tight hamstring and could miss the game, while fellow defender Jason Denayer is out with a muscle tear.

Steven Pienaar and Victor Anichebe are both fit again and may be included in the matchday squad.

Man City v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on 5 live

He is full of ability. If you were designing a Premier League player it wouldn't be far away from Ross Barkley. But he is lacking consistency. He has found the transition of managers tough. It can be quite difficult after playing one way and then getting used to a new way of doing things. But he is a top, top player.

Man City v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on 5 live

I think Pep will be delighted at how it has gone at Man City. Not just the transformation in some individuals - Raheem Sterling and a little shift in De Bruyne and Silva. I think they played really well against Spurs. It is probably one of the best performances I have seen Spurs put in over a whole game. At times City stood up to that. This still isn't Pep's ideal team yet.

  20. 'A massive week'published at 10:40 British Summer Time 15 October 2016

Man City v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It is a massive week for Man City, coming off the back of a defeat. Primarily, Guardiola has been brought in to do well in the Champions League so they will be looking at the Barcelona game. But the Everton game is a huge one as well.
