No service for Son Heung-min in this match, which is frustrating for the South Korean.

His 17 touches on the ball is the least of any player on the pitch.

All Tottenham so far in this second half but the Bournemouth backline are holding firm.

Can the visitors conjure some ingenuity to break the deadlock?

    Delightful play from Spurs.

Playmaker Christian Eriksen sets Erik Lamela free with a deft flick on the halfway line.

The lanky Argentine gallops into the Bournemouth box, but the danger is cleared through a combination of Charlie Daniels and Simon Francis.

Seconds later, Lamela finds the ball invitingly at his left foot in the area, but his angled shot is blazed over.

    Oh so close.

Joshua King plays a cute, chipped ball into the box and it's on the head of team-mate Callum Wilson. Can he head it in?

No! Brilliant defending from Eric Dier as the England international leaps up to nod the ball away from the striker.

Adam Reid: Best 0-0 1st half I've seen in a long time. Game needs to flow though. Too much whistle.. COYS

Steve Laird: 5 bookings in 1st half shows how football is getting soft. Some of the bookings were for people who won the ball!

A good stop from Artur Boruc.

The Polish goalkeeper gets down sharply to hit right to push away Dele Alli's arrowed drive.

Great play from Kyle Walker on the right.

He beats his man and puts in an excellent low cross into the six-yard box but no Spurs player is there and Simon Francis clears.

Walker is not happy, gesturing to his team-mate to "get someone in there, man".

It has been a bit spiky.

There have been a few tasty challenges.

Hugo Lloris' save was fantastic. It has been a week of goalkeepers.

Jack Wilshere, like so many England midfielders, is often criticised for only passing the ball sideways and backwards.

This graphic of his first half attempts shows that he did attempt plenty of longer passes forward, with the short lay-offs tending to go to his right or back to the defence.

Mat VP: You can always tell when Spurs aren't getting it their own way. Discipline flies out of the window. See v Chelsea last year.

Sash Dordevic: How is Lamela still on the pitch? Clearest yellow ever, and should have walked.

Philip King:  I think you will find that Lamela got a touch on the ball on that tackle. Very close to a second yellow though

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

All four of Tottenham's bookings have been picked up in a pocket on their left wing either side of the halfway line, and the team have been leaning to their left all half.

Kyle Walker has been given the job of roaming down the right wing pretty much to himself, with Erik Lamela (11), Dele Alli (20) and Christian Eriksen (number obscured) all playing close to one another.

A really good half of football here at the Vitality Stadium. It's been end to end here but interestingly we haven't seen a lot of action from goalkeepers Artur Boruc or Hugo Lloris yet.

It's been completely congested in the middle of the park and like I said, it will take a little bit of magic from a Lamela or a Wilshere to open the game up here.

You can come out from behind the sofa now. That frightening first half which had some industrial challenges comes to an end.

Two chances in quick succession for Callum Wilson, but neither works Hugo Lloris.

Former Liverpool man shows good pace to beat Kyle Walker before lay a ball into the path of Wilson in the area, but the Bournemouth striker's clipped, outside-of-the-foot show goes wide.

I will be amazed if Spurs don't go down to ten men in the second half.

Thing is, I'm not sure if I've seen a nasty challenge yet...

Callum Wilson heads wide for Bournemouth from Jack Wilshere's measured cross.

He was free and should have hit the target.

It's a feisty atmosphere here as the first half draws to a close - the home fans were firmly of the opinion that Erik Lamela should be walking down the tunnel for a second yellow card, while Danny Rose's foul on Joshua King means four Spurs players (plus Bournemouth's Dan Gosling) are walking a tightrope as the hosts' ability to break at pace is causing problems for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

    Guess what?

    Another yellow card.

The challenges have been flying in today and this one is well deserved.

Spurs full-back Danny Rose loses his cool for some reason, going right through the back of Joshua King.

King was about six feet high in the air, before tumbling back down to Earth.

I don't condone this sort of play, but that was brilliant. Old-fashioned football. They should be showing this game in black and white.
