If someone can break from the midfield and make something out of nothing, that's where I feel the game will be won because it's so congested in the middle of the park.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Bournemouth prefer the short corner route, they have not put the ball into the box yet from a set-piece.

That tactic is not working so far though as they gift possession back to Tottenham.

The hardworking Callum Wilson is then played clear into the box, but the striker's shot is blocked by defender Jan Vertonghen.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Bournemouth work so hard to press the ball in the final third.

Leading from the front, striker Callum Wilson is charging around like a wild bull at a matador, hunting down each Tottenham defender as he gets the ball.

The Cherries do eventually get the ball back and Joshua King's cross is away for a corner at the back post by Kyle Walker.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham are trying to work an opening with some quick passing in the final third, but Bournemouth's organised backline are all in position to snuff out the danger.

A goal is not going to come easily today for either side and they'll have to use their imagination to prize open a chance.

You can see both teams have been drilling these short passing games in training - loads of quick movement. The getting out of tricky situations has been excellent from both teams.

Harsh for Bournemouth as Harry Arter, who was looking to break clear, is called back by the referee for handball.

Spurs full-back Danny Rose took a heavy touch and in trying to recover, kicked the ball onto the hand of the challenging Arter.

Ref Craig Pawson felt it was deliberate by the home midfielder, but if he let play go, the Republic of Ireland man was bearing down on goal.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Bournemouth get the first corner of the game and it is worked short into the box by Jack Wilshere.

The ball rolls across the area to full-back Charlie Daniels, whose goalbound shot from six yards is brilliantly kept out by Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris's legs and onto the crossbar.

The Frenchman had a stunning game against Bayer Leverkusen in midwek and has started this match in similar fashion.

He has always got a mistake in him.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc slices a backpass straight to Dele Alli. The England midfielder plays it through first time to Spurs team-mate Son Heung-min, but he South Korean is caught in an offside position.

Sloppy play and an early let-off for the hosts.

Andrew Surman's absence through illness ends a run in which he has played every minute of every Premier League game since Bournemouth's promotion to the top flight last year.

And if you stretch it back to the previous season in the Championship where he started the last 40 games after moving from Norwich, it's 86 successive league starts without missing a game through injury or suspension - until now - for the Cherries' midfield anchorman.

Bournemouth's full-backs today both learned their trade at Tottenham's academy - although they can only boast one competitive Spurs appearance between them.

Walthamstow-born Charlie Daniels was loaned to Chesterfield, Leyton Orient and Gillingham before joining Orient permanently, then moving to Bournemouth in 2011 to become part of the back four which rose from League One to the Premier League.

Adam Smith, born in Leytonstone, came off the bench for Spurs against Fulham on the last day of the 2011-12 season - but after loan spells at seven different clubs, joined the Cherries permanently in 2014.

Ex Wales striker Dean Saunders: "Mauricio Pochettino's formula goes right through the club. It doesn't matter who plays that stays in place so they can only be so bad, they are always going to press and win the ball back."

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson: "Bournemouth have always been very good on the ball under Eddie Howe. They haven't always been great without it but now they are getting better."
