All these decisions and yellow cards have really got the crowd involved here at the Vitality Stadium. They want to see a sending off!

They are enjoying it. I'm enjoying it!

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs midfielder Erik Lamela gets away with one here.

To be honest, the official Craig Pawson has bottled it.

Already on a booking, the Argentine challenges Dan Gosling from behind, bringing him down to the turf and not getting the ball.

    Refereeing consistency? Forget about it.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 39 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Referee Craig Pawson handing cards out like it's Christmas.

This time Bournemouth's Dan Gosling is the man pulled up for a trip on Kyle Walker.

Spurs, in the last five minutes, have just started to take control here. They are looking like the team who are hoping to challenge for the title.

The strength and desire from Mousa Dembele has been excellent.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 38 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Erik Lamela collects the ball and goes down in the Bournemouth penalty area.

He looks towards referee Craig Pawson, but no penalty is given.

    Lamela is not happy.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 37 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

A third yellow card for Tottenham, this time for Dele Alli.

The England midfielder is nutmegged (waheeeeeey) on the right by Adam Smith, who can break clear to the halfway line.

Alli did not like that and barges the opposition player over.

    Booked.

Callum Wilson slowly gets to his feet and limps away.

Meanwhile, Spurs full-back Danny Rose finds space in the box, but his drilled cross is cleared by the home defenders.

A little composure was needed there.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 35 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, who missed a lot of last season with a knee injury, is in a lot of pain here as he is tripped on the turn by Jan Vertonghen.

The home player goes down in a heap and looked as though he turned his ankle.

Belgian defender Vertonghen is handed a yellow card for the indiscretion.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

A smile from Bournemouth skipper Simon Francis, who miscues Kyle Walker's cross straight into the hands of goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

That could have flown into the top corner on another day.

And it would have wiped the smile right off his face.

Got to agree with John Dunthorne in the previous comment.

Lots of running around and hard work being shown by both sets of players, but they may just want to take their foot off the gas a little and chill out.

All very frantic but not much goalmouth action to speak of.

Tom Driscoll: Eddie Howe has turned Bournemouth into a very decent team, has to be said. I also don't understand how more Bournemouth players (Steve Cook, Callum Wilson) don't get a look in the England squad

John Dunthorne: Both teams running round like headless chickens, too much whistle. CALM DOWN!

Interim England boss Gareth Southgate is here - and he may want to keep a close eye on Dele Alli and Jack Wilshere, who have both been at the heart of their sides' most threatening moves, prompting from the central attacking midfield role.

Bournemouth have never had a full England international player. But might today not be the worst day for the likes of Callum Wilson to impress the national coach?

Excellent work by full-back Kyle Walker to win the ball back from Jordon Ibe in the corner.

Walker used to be a bit of a dodgy player, I thought, but he has really grown into a top defender for both club and country.

At the attacking end, Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc is stretched for the first time, getting down to his left to push away Christian Eriksen's drive, which took a nick off Harry Arter.

    A smart stop.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs edging possession 55% to 45% but have not worked home goalkeeper Artur Boruc yet.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino is on the touchline, barking out instructions to his players.

"Have a pop at goal, lad," is what he (probably) said.

Speaking to the guys who regularly cover matches down here at Bournemouth, they told me Harry Arter has been their most consistently positive player this season. He has been a doubt with a slight knee injury recently, but with challenges like that he is obviously not worried.

    Spurs are not happy.

Again, Danny Rose takes a heavy touch on the ball which he has to sprint towards to recover, but this time is met by a hefty Harry Arter tackle which took ball and man.

    Superb challenge.

Midfielder Victor Wanyama is the chief complainer. Not as though he ever puts a big challenge in.

First booking of the game to Erik Lamela for a late, sliding challenge on Harry Arter.

The ball had gone long before the Argentine caught his opposition man.

Kevin Bowley: I hear Pochettino described @Dele_Alli this week as a wild horse that was untrainable? Does that make him 'Mustang Alli'?

    Oof, inches away.

Spurs break clear and some beautiful footwork from Dele Alli sees him release Erik Lamela.

The Argentine takes a few strides forward before striking an innocuous shot from distance with his right foot, which makes its way towards goal in slow motion, before hitting the angle of post and crossbar.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc was stood watching.
