Oh no! Albion midfielder Claudio Yacob goes backwards and cheaply gives possession away. Emre Can snaffles that like a hungry dog pouncing on a treat, feeding Adam Lallana whose rising shot goes into the Anfield Road end.

Get your foot on the ball! Is what my Sunday League manager would be shouting if I was a West Brom player. Tony Pulis might be doing the same. Albion struggling for a kick at the moment.

This is a real testing time for Albion now. 

You are always under this pressure when you come to Anfield. There is something about this place. They put you under pressure and you've got to absorb it and be strong.

Ooooh by 'eck! Cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott would be pleased. Liverpool go down the footballing equivalent of Sir Geoff's 'corridor of uncertainty' as Nathanial Clyne slides a cross between Albion keeper Ben Foster and his defence. Emre Can dives in with an outstretched boot, but he needs to be a shoe size bigger to reach it. Let off for Albion.

So what's Tony Pulis's masterplan now? Baggies know how to cause some problems from a set piece and they have a chance here. The big lads go up but James McClean's free-kick from a deep position on the right is poor. Liverpool clear.

Albion were sliced apart at times during that move. That's a gift for Sadio Mane at the back post. After the good start they have had, that's a poor goal to give away. 

It was the dummy by Coutinho that gave that away. Too easy I think.

Mane is one that you have got to keep your eye on. He finds gaps and is nippy. This is exactly what Albion didn't want - to go 1-0 down early. They have got to make sure they don't go two down or it really will be an uphill battle.   

This would have silenced the booing Baggies fans. James Milner ghosts into the Albion box, rising highest to meet Jordan Henderson's inswinger from the right. But Milner can't keep his effort down and Albion survive.

Headway for the Reds down the right flank, but Albion man-mountain Jonas Olsson is well placed to block the cross. The Swede would head away stones if they were being flung at him.

James Milner is getting plenty of stick from the away fans. Presumably because of his Villa links? Can't see it bothering the Yorkshireman. He's the sort of bloke that wouldn't even be annoyed by being given gravy instead of mushy peas at the chippy.

Albion have had a few half decent balls into Liverpool's penalty area which is positive. People say the Baggies are only dangerous from set pieces but there is no difference as from open play as long as you get the balls into the area. 

Half a chance for Albion. Quick break from Nacer Chadli who finds Matt Phillips on his shoulder. He tries to pick out Salomon Rondon, but a swarm of Red shirts crowd out the Baggies striker.
