Hopefully, for City fans they won't need a little bit of time to wake up...

So what does Lawro think the outcome will be?

Southampton look very solid at the back and do not seem to make too many mistakes. At the other end, Charlie Austin is going through the sort of spell where he cannot miss.

City's defeat by Barcelona means they have now gone four games without a win in all competitions, but they were still top of the league going into the weekend.

Some people might be painting it as a crisis but it really isn't.

    Manchester City

Hull defender Alex Bruce: "City will beat the Saints. Southampton had a tough game against Inter Milan and that will go against them. Among my friends who are City fans I was asking at the start of the season, 'will their team lose a game this season?' It's amazing what a difference a week makes."

  11. 'Step in the right direction'published at 12:05 British Summer Time 23 October 2016

    West Ham 1-0 Sunderland

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough and Fulham goalkeeper on Match of the Day

The win is definitely a step in the right direction for West Ham. To win it at that stage of the match is massive for them and it relieves the pressure greatly and takes out the stigma of winning games in the new stadium.

  12. 'Not a bad decision for the winner'published at 12:05 British Summer Time 23 October 2016

    West Ham 1-0 Sunderland

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Match of the Day

"David Moyes thought the winner should have been ruled out for offside - and it was tight. But ultimately if you're conceding lots of goals late in games, you have got a problem.

"Players switched off and were not concentrating. As Winston Reid hits it, you can see Jonathan Calleri is in line with Jack Rodwell. It's an inch or two inches but it's not a bad decision. I think the assistant referee has done well."

Sanjay Pankhania: The return of Kenny Dalglish to Anfield was the best reception ever a manger could get. "I answer to no one but the King 7".

Lance Stow: Clifford Byrne when he returned with Oldham to Scunthorpe United. The Irishman was a bona fide legend. His name rang out all day and got rid of a New Years hangover.

  17. 'Cech best keeper in the Premier League'published at 11:52 British Summer Time 23 October 2016

    Arsenal 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough and Fulham goalkeeper on Match of the Day

"You didn't expect Petr Cech to be the busier goalkeeper of the two. He is the best goalkeeper in the league and has been for five years.

"I have had the privilege of working with him (at Chelsea) and class him as a good mate. He stayed big and kept Arsenal in the match, which was quite strange."

On Middlesbrough's Victor Valdes: "I was pleasantly surprised with Victor Valdes. He had one of his best games for Middlesbrough so far.

"He has been out injured but he came out and dominated his area which is a surprise, I've never seen him do that before."

  20. 'We can build on this'published at 11:42 British Summer Time 23 October 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley told BBC Sport: "The second half was strong and we came out right from the beginning looking for a goal. It didn't happen but there are a lot of positives.

"It was important to get a clean sheet and the play from our centre halves was solid as Deeney and Ighalo are difficult to play against. This is a step we can build on.

"I think the team we picked today made sense. There is disappointment for sure, but a shared feeling of an all-round good effort."
